Is this necessary

for married girls to behave like a very serious, aged, aggressive and mature girls?

is this necessary for married girls to wear gold jewelery like ear rings, chains, bracelet, rings, every time?

i seriously hate to wear gold every time and to behave like a married mature aggressive ladies.

Re: Is this necessary

Aa...hmm...mmm... well... depends really!!! But shouldn't be mandatory.

Re: Is this necessary

I agree, i can't stand gold and plus i look like a masi wearing it, so its a no no for me! But i think it has a lot to do with the type of inlaws u end up with and if wearing gold is a costume for the dulhan.

I don't wear all that fancy stuff. I don't like wearing it.
But yeah acting mature and all.. sometimes you have to. You have more responsibilites so even when you don't want to act all grown up you still have to to deal with things like an adult. Aged and aggressive.. I don't know about that. We depend on our parents for the most part before getting married, but after we get married, ppl (kids, our family) depends on us.

serious and aged-----no
mature and aggressive----yes

ewww....no.

Re: Is this necessary

Sigh @ mature and aggressive.

Re: Is this necessary

oh why yes @mature n aggressive

okay fine maturity does make sense...but whats with aggressiveness?:|

Bass meri marzi. :snooty:

Re: Is this necessary

No - the only thing that is required is a little torelence and patience.

lol okay marzi par kuch nai kaha ja sakta:D

lolz...

Well, if being aggressive means to be confident and defend and decide for yourself and your family in some matters on your own then yes you have to be aggressive.

Re: Is this necessary

Surely aggressive married women were once aggressive single females?

ya if you define aggressive this way then you are right....one has to be aggressive irrespective of gender

lolz....is that a question?

Re: Is this necessary

the only thing u have to be is mature, and thts at times when u need to be not 24/7 well i certainly dnt intend to be.. how can u have fun otherwise? and about the gold.. u dont need to look like a gold shop all the time. On a day to day basis i have a thin chain and pendant, a thin bracelet and two everyday rings tht i wear. and i think thts enuf to keep me going after i get married too! u wont find me walking into work dripping in gold! come to think of it u wont find me dripping in gold at weddings either... i really dont like those fat sets... jewels look so much more prettier

Where can i find more ladies like you............i will marry them ifi find them...u know..shadi kay baad kharcha kam hoga ;) ....saving hi saving! Balle Balee!!

Re: Is this necessary

noway...

i'm still the same after marriage..i dress the same , I am who I was...
why do married women have to be more sober, and dress way more grown up? Nonesense...

i agree. i feel the same

yeah that trend in pak gets annoying where newly wed has to wear gold all the time! and gold makes you look a lot older as well!

Re: Is this necessary

Some families require and want their newly wed brides to wear gold as much as they can at least in the beginning.

Its just to set the brides apart and make them feel like nayi naveli dulhan.
