I agree, i can't stand gold and plus i look like a masi wearing it, so its a no no for me! But i think it has a lot to do with the type of inlaws u end up with and if wearing gold is a costume for the dulhan.
I don't wear all that fancy stuff. I don't like wearing it.
But yeah acting mature and all.. sometimes you have to. You have more responsibilites so even when you don't want to act all grown up you still have to to deal with things like an adult. Aged and aggressive.. I don't know about that. We depend on our parents for the most part before getting married, but after we get married, ppl (kids, our family) depends on us.
Well, if being aggressive means to be confident and defend and decide for yourself and your family in some matters on your own then yes you have to be aggressive.

ya if you define aggressive this way then you are right....one has to be aggressive irrespective of gender
the only thing u have to be is mature, and thts at times when u need to be not 24/7 well i certainly dnt intend to be.. how can u have fun otherwise? and about the gold.. u dont need to look like a gold shop all the time. On a day to day basis i have a thin chain and pendant, a thin bracelet and two everyday rings tht i wear. and i think thts enuf to keep me going after i get married too! u wont find me walking into work dripping in gold! come to think of it u wont find me dripping in gold at weddings either... i really dont like those fat sets... jewels look so much more prettier
