Is Music Haraam ?

Re: Is Music Haraam ?

yeah.....'like Jinns are not exist'....'Jinns are thoughts'.....[in your opinion]

Re: Is Music Haraam ?

Hypnotix-2000. Here comes the difference in Beliefs. I think we can both practice what suits us respectively.

For others I would like to share.

Allah says in the Quran

Ila bizikrillahi tatmainulquloob

The satisfaction of hearts lies only in remembering Allah (mafhoom I think, kindly correct me if anyone knows exact meaning)

P.s. So let us search for it in Zikr, not in music.

Re: Is Music Haraam ?

yes, its haram to look at women[who's not your wife] with nasty thoughts in your head.

Re: Is Music Haraam ?

so you're trying to decieve Allah?(Audhubillah)

Re: Is Music Haraam ?

:) belief has to be based on something... and that determines consequences for BOTH, this life and the next.

Even the kuffaar of Makkah ardently believed in Allat and Manaat and Uzza, and venerated them so much so that even their names mentioned in the Quran.

Re: Is Music Haraam ?

how is taking a pill which prevents you from getting drunk deceiving Allah?

Re: Is Music Haraam ?

Do you know what jews used to do when Allah forbade them from fishing on (Sabt)saturdays.

Re: Is Music Haraam ?

what, listen to music on their mp3 players?

Re: Is Music Haraam ?

lol good one

Re: Is Music Haraam ?

No, worse than that.....

They used to try to decieve Allah by trapping the fish on saturdays and used to fish them on sundays.....

Re: Is Music Haraam ?

Yeah, and calling death upon yourself is logical too I suppose

Re: Is Music Haraam ?

How is that decieving? They were still fishing on Sundays and not Saturdays....

Re: Is Music Haraam ?

And secondly, you are misquoting me... I said Jinn has to do with the attribute of being concealed. This includes beings (nomads, shamans, deceivers, even kings) who hide themselves from urbanites/victemsregular-people/commoners, a deception itself, hidden/concealed psyche rationalizing evil that a human cannot see when he/she is under its influence, as well as intangible creations of man's imagination, such as idols.

Re: Is Music Haraam ?

Then Allah turned them into monkeys and pigs..........and after 3 days they all died.

Re: Is Music Haraam ?

Why did Allah stop them from fishing on Saturday?

And how is that deceiving Allah?

Its like you are prevented from traveling on Saturday, but what you do is you take your car to the Mechanic to have it checked out and fill it up with gas and on Sunday you are all set to go.....

Re: Is Music Haraam ?

All died?

then who are living in Israel?

Re: Is Music Haraam ?

She is way in over her head on this... they did not die nor did they turn into monkeys and pigs literally...

It is an allegory that their hearts were weak and filthy and their intellect gave way to superstition and conjuncture, and their SELF (nafs) "died" or rather faded away... hence they wandered misguided, like animals.

Re: Is Music Haraam ?

^^ Exactly.

this is some passage that terrorists use to justify their hatred for Jews...

They acted as if they were animals like pigs and monkeys....

They are not pigs and monkeys...

Re: Is Music Haraam ?

2:63 (O Children of Israel!) Behold, We accepted your Solemn Pledge, letting Mount Sinai tower above you as if a witness, and saying, “Hold fast onto what We have given you, and take to heart what is therein, so that you may walk aright.”

2:64 Then, even after that, you turned away. And were it not for the Bounty of Allah upon you and His Grace, you would have been undone.

2:65 You are well aware of those among you who broke the Sabbath, whereupon We said unto them, “Be you held in contempt like apes!”

[For social and ecological reasons and to inculcate the sanctity of the Law in your hearts, We had commanded you to desist from fishing or working on Saturdays and to strengthen your social ties rather than going after business on that day (4:154, 7:163-167, 16:124.) Persistent indiscipline is more befitting of an apish, rather than a human mentality. (4:47, 4:154, 5:60) Note: Strangely enough, some ancient, and modern commentators like Maududi, maintain that they were physically transformed into apes!]

2:66 We made this degradation a lesson for them in their times, and for the future generations, We made it a source of enlightenment - that should soften the hearts of those who wish to walk aright. (‘Wa’z’ = Admonition that softens the hearts.)

Re: Is Music Haraam ?

and where are those apes today?

I havent seen any Monkeys in the Sinai when I was there
