Marriage do seem to be a daunting task. Not sure how one can spend their whole life with just one person? We all get bored with virtually everything we use or have but the marriage seems to be the holier-than-thou sacred subject.

Not if you are with the right person, with the right person it gets better with every day. I love her a hundred times more today than when we had just met. relationships have banks and you make deposits and withdraws from the account, every time you do sth nice it is a deposit, every time you are mean it takes away 7 deposits. So if you made lots of deposits, your relationship thrives. It is hard work and it is worth it.

but how do u know who is the right person if you don’t stay with them long enough? is it some sort of magical connection? if it is then I never felt it.

Unfortunately people have generally become very materialistic and lacking in patience to sustain long term relationships. They stay ‘for the better’ part but not ‘for the worse’ part. I won’t blame it entirely on laws but laws certainly don’t help either.

I reviewed a resume few years ago of a highly qualified Indian guy in his 50s. We were intrigued as to why such a qualified and experienced professional would apply for that position. Anyway, things didn’t worked out with him. But we learned through a common former colleague that the guy got diagnosed with some heart problem few years ago which sent him in shock and unable to do his high pressure job anymore, so he resigned to take rest. But then he had to pay for his healthcare out of pocket which pissed off his wife who divorced him after nearly 30 years of marriage. Not saying everyone is like that but some are and their numbers are growing.

My wifes eldest sister got really sick and needed and amazing amount of care and expense and the way her husband took care of her, feeding her, staying up all night, taking her to doctors on a daily basis etc was unbelievable. just depends on the person. my best friend and neighbor Dr Wasti passed away of cancer and the way he is missed is amazing. his gori wife could not get herself to cook Indian food for over a couple of years and when we went to see them this Summer we encouraged her to cook daal for boys again. Love begets love. There are also good examples. You had only heard one side of the story.

In my case it was not magic, you have to make relationship goals and work towards achieving those goals, I made relationship goals even with my children. There is no magic connection, this monument is built one brick at a time, you show caring and appreciation on a continuous basis. For me having children and the common goal was the biggest thing. A woman who gives you a child owes you nothing after that, she gave you sth that is more valuable than your life and that is how I see it. put their needs ahead of yours and you will be loved more than you can imagine. This is a personal message and I am sharing it take away some of the skepticism that you guys have.

The dumb people who trained us tell us to learn from successful people and avoid losers. I do learn from many young people, our gold medalist athlete Ben is an inspiration for everyone.

Thanks for pointing that out, Bob. I actually do know the difference between the two and the mistake was made in a hurry. I’m not gonna get defensive and say that grammar and mechanics don’t matter. :halo:

It wouldn’t have mattered to me, one of our maid had a degree in English literature and some people who cant write perfect English own buildings. Only mental slaves ridicule people if their English is not perfect. PS Jihadi Jane should worry about Arabic and not the dirty kaffir language..lol.

Anyone with a reasonable IQ would remember things if they read it once. Its hard to keep a track of what you have said if its a lie though.
