Yo so I was watching this video on youtube and it’s from this guy that claims to be redpilled and he was goin on about how marriage is a bad deal and blah blah blah, y’all have heard this before. So I was scrolling down the comments came across an interesting one by some white dude, he had a golddigger story so imma just leave it here.

I really feel bad about the 64 yr old guy though IF it is true. :frowning: Although wtf, “His was an arranged marriage (widow with two kids) as is their way.” Wow, the guy who wrote the comment sounds like a smug pos.

LMFAO. The people who are attracted to redpill “”““philosophy””" or MGTOW shouldn’t be married let alone in relationships in the first place. I say good riddance and that story is some Bobby-tier fake :rotfl:

With power comes abuse of power family laws are disproportionately in favor of females and many now abuse it. I used to get a few threats here and there and then I found out that the Imam was a fake and he did not register the marriage, life has been really good after that. Marriage as an institution is failing and both genders should be completely self reliant. Kids are not going to look after parents either.

This story sounds very familiar, is the comment from an Alberta poster. In the case I know the guy married a girl 25 yrs younger, she was divorced with 2 kids and this guy seemed really awesome to the outside world but was really abusive, he flung hot tea at her and missed she called the police. He go charged with assault with a weapon, lost his job and Kiran took the house and got her brother immigrated. If he would be nice to her she wouldn’t leave him

Marriage do seem to be a daunting task. Not sure how one can spend their whole life with just one person? We all get bored with virtually everything we use or have but the marriage seems to be the holier-than-thou sacred subject.

In that case, choose a partner who feels the same way. Believe it or not, there are people out there who do not get bored of things easily.

But why enter into marriage in first place? for legal and financial reasons? I like to be faithful to the partner I am with right now till the love/ infatuation/ attraction etc etc etc runs out. Open marriage is promiscuity which I was not referring to.

I accept being brought up without much parental attention or company (mum died early, dad spent all days and evenings fixing hips and fractures etc) must have influenced the way I shaped up.

Unfortunately people have generally become very materialistic and lacking in patience to sustain long term relationships. They stay ‘for the better’ part but not ‘for the worse’ part. I won’t blame it entirely on laws but laws certainly don’t help either.

I reviewed a resume few years ago of a highly qualified Indian guy in his 50s. We were intrigued as to why such a qualified and experienced professional would apply for that position. Anyway, things didn’t worked out with him. But we learned through a common former colleague that the guy got diagnosed with some heart problem few years ago which sent him in shock and unable to do his high pressure job anymore, so he resigned to take rest. But then he had to pay for his healthcare out of pocket which pissed off his wife who divorced him after nearly 30 years of marriage. Not saying everyone is like that but some are and their numbers are growing.

No but I know myself. I never run after things just because they are newer or better. In fact if it wasn’t for parent’s insistence of me having a gps app on my phone when I went to college, I would still be using a dumb phone. And people are far more complex so I am sure I will be fine.

Not directed to me but… I obviously have been in one so my half a cents worth of thoughts: You make it work… you keep the lines of communication open and you have to be willing to hear your partner out. Most peoples default response to perceived criticism is defense and projection on to the other party. “Things have been getting a little routine lately” should be met with suggestions… not insult. Find a partner who is willing to communicate and grow with you. :k:
