What if you have children and you dont want to disrupt their life for your own selfish needs?
Your husband is just not doing his part…so what can you do? Why not have an affair?
*I know its haram but so is half the stuff we do on here like backbiting and gossip…so for the sake of discussion please answer my questions from a non-religious perspective.

If you take the religion or morals out then even murder can be justified for the reasons suited to your logic.

In any case cheating is immoral . If you want to cheat for the sake of kids , then if the kids find out mom is cheating , how can you teach them good morals and keep a close knit family ?

Mirch bhai are you saying she should get a divorce? divorce has such a social stigma though and it's such a major step, if her husband gives her no care, love/passion, respect, attention and all it is is a financial security thing what kind of a marriage is it for her. Hope she gets some happiness.

No. Just get a divorce and then you can remarry and there wont be anything illegitimate about it. You can make your kids understand why you are going for divorce. It wl be hard but its alot better to do this then to go out have an affair. That wl be much more risky.

is it that easy to get remarried for a divorced woman with children though? being alone is something that is a major worry after such a big step

I am sure its not easy at all BUT i would hope having an affair for a married person is not easy either. Atleast if not in terms of options then what about your own values?!.
And honestly, how wl having an affair help the lonliness? So how does that make a difference.

What is the guarantee that another man will make you happy or content? I think you need to search within and learn how to be happy within yourself and not expect that from something or someone.

Is he interested in kids ? You can teach you kids to be better human without cheating on him and your kids. Remember you will not be cheating on your husband , you will be cheating on your kids too.
No it is not fair for you to be miserable for rest of your life. You can end it . How will you be happy by cheating , you will live in guilt , in shame and with constant fear of getting caught ?
Also the guy you will be cheating with will have no respect for you. If he had respect for you , cared about you , would help you get out of this situation and give you permanent peace of mind , not few minutes of company and send you back to hell of a home.

.... ummm .... i don't it's a good thing to betray anyone for any reason .. Just get a divorce if your not happy .. cuz belive me there's nothing worse then to find out that someone lied to you and betrayed u.. so just say the truth and get divorce .. or talk to him tell him and wait and see if u find some change in him.
