Is it a disease to be Pakistani?

Re: Is it a disease to be Pakistani?

absolutely 100% right :k: even i too can’t differentiate between tamil, telgu, malyaali etc. i just call them **madrasi **:hehe: coz i’m north Indian :snooty:

Re: Is it a disease to be Pakistani?

What is your definition of ugly looking people?.
Do they teach such things in schools in Pakistan??

It is unfortunate that many desis on either side of border carry this stupid mindset that dark complexioned people are ugly looking.

zara sochiye agar yeh duniya berang hoti to kaisi hoti.

Re: Is it a disease to be Pakistani?

not true.....

Re: Is it a disease to be Pakistani?

^^
You're right it's 'not true'
it is not pakistanis who put an emphasis on how people look.
anyone who does is a bit shallow in my opinion.

Re: Is it a disease to be Pakistani?

and what were thier reactions ? :-D

beside ...

In UouKay, ouur paji and pra ji culture dominated the land, there could be good and bad everywhere, but it’s the majority that leaves some impression on others.
When you represent your country, you must be very careful, consider yourself always and anywhere an ambassador of Pakistan, no matter if you have blue or pink or red passport, you are always Paki, especially while serving in some ex-ruler’s kingdom!
Its true that once a ruler is always a ruler, psychologically they will always consider you a third class nation specially when you act as if you are.

Be brave enough to answer those white meats, but before that improve your nation to some extent, in all fields, we are far behind compare to other ex-slave nations working in west! Work hard in the field of technology, medical and improve the behaviors, try to mingle with whites more often, talk to them and explain them our culture, our roots, invite them to homes for lunch or dinner, indeed they love Paki food!
Its necessary that you get mix up with them, show them your traditions, and let know them about Islam...

But for God sake, don’t become like them at the end, simply try to make them look like us, meaning a True Muslim!!!

Paki or Pakistani ... We have still pride in being PAKI ... :-)

Re: Is it a disease to be Pakistani?

Very well said Dada Abba!

Re: Is it a disease to be Pakistani?

Theres truth to the Paki thing about them assuming dark people are ugly...
We played a game once in Edgware Rd at a sheesha joint...my friend went over to this Paki girl and asked if she was Lebanese...she got all flattered...later on i stopped and spoke to her...(she didnt see me or my friend together)...and i asked if she was Bengali...iv never seen a smile leave a face so quickly...
Pakis for some strange reason feel they are superior to Bengalis and black etc...ytet subconsciously feel inferior to white people, Arabs and Iranians...

Re: Is it a disease to be Pakistani?

How we gonna let them know about Islam by showing our traditions.

So only pakis are true muslims?

I've learnt many good things from my non muslim friends....I never try to make them like me nor I try to become like them. I just follow what I have to follow and that is Islam.

Believe me my all converts friends were not impressed by a nationalist.

Pakistanis need to be a bit more cultured.....

yes, I was proud being a pakistani.....not anymore.
We should end our pride.
bcoz If you stand you'll fall.

be humble

Re: Is it a disease to be Pakistani?

True.....most people are like that in pak.

we need to be a bit more cultured.

when I said like this ? and how one can show Islam by just the tradition? use some sense…

So only pakis are true muslims?

Did I say like that ?

I’ve learnt many good things from my non muslim friends…I never try to make them like me nor I try to become like them. I just follow what I have to follow and that is Islam.

There is nothing better than Islam, and its teachings, try learn from Seerat-Rasool Allah :saw:
Beside where did I say they have not any good thing?
You do what you like, then its good for you, thank you for the info!

Believe me my all converts friends were not impressed by a nationalist.

I have so many reasons NOT to believe you,

Pakistanis need to be a bit more cultured…

Yes they do, thats what I said or tried to say …

and please stick to the topic, don’t try to make baal ki khaal from every word! Thank you for rpleies though!

Re: Is it a disease to be Pakistani?

Of course, there is nothing better than Islam and its teachings …and I’ve found non muslims in Britian, following Islamic teachings more than the people do in pakistan.

Re: Is it a disease to be Pakistani?

Good for them , but to enter in the Paradise, they still need to recite Kalimah, and have to follow other all obligations in Islam, do they also do that along with all those 'Islamic teaching' ? I am sure you must have told them about it ...

anyway, adios...

Re: Is it a disease to be Pakistani?

Yes, they are doing that. They have started to declare shahada ....
you live in states...you should know the rate of people becoming muslims in America.

Re: Is it a disease to be Pakistani?

In the above post, you called them 'non-Muslim friends' and now you say they already have converted! Are they Muslim yet or no ?

How many of your friends have been converted, and how ? please share the experience...

(I will reply next some other day, as I have to leave now)

Re: Is it a disease to be Pakistani?

Hareem...
The acts are Islamic if they are linked to pleasing Allah...a non Muslim who doesnt drink isnt following Islam as he hasnt linked the action to Allah...
To be more Islamic than Pakistanis you atleast need to be Muslim first...

Re: Is it a disease to be Pakistani?

I have both muslim and non muslim friends.

Re: Is it a disease to be Pakistani?

A muslim who drinks alcohol in private knowing it is sin, is better than a non- drinker non-muslim but non-muslim's action is compatible with Islam. Also if a muslim rejects openly Allah's order then he's not a muslim anymore.

Muhammad Al-shareef in his tafseer of Juz 'Amma, said that a sahabi(ra) said,' the best of the disbelievers are (become) the best of the believers.

It is true that the good actions of a disbeliever will not benefit him, but we have to be careful to note that muslims who are carelessly sinful can be branded as hypocrites and will be given the lowest part of hellfire.

.

wE're going down the wrong rute in this conversation, I was trying to point to the fact that being pakistani does not mean that we are being Islamic nor by professing to Islam does it mean in any way we're bwing pakistani. Nationalism is an anti Islamic ideology.

Re: Is it a disease to be Pakistani?

... there in no space where Allah is not watching, so drinking private or in public, makes some one more idiot! ... be afraid of Allah, not with HIS creatures, ...

Re: Is it a disease to be Pakistani?

Why are we so quick to lay blame for White peoples racism on our own kind? Sometimes that is the case when White people have had bad experiences with South-Asian youth but most times it is not.

White people that are racist are racist just because they are (don't forget yeh wahi loag hain jinhon ne hamaarey mulkon par raj kiya tha, same mentality), the first Pakis in this country were actually very docile and seedhay-saadhey but they still got more stick than us, the younger generation only keep a distance from the Whites and have their own race-gangs because they were racially marginalised from a young age and never really made welcome amongst the Whites even though we were born in this country, racism breeds racism... A lot of South-Asian youth don't see themselves as British (British by paper, Paki by nature" because we were never made to feel welcome..

I personally know White people who admit to hating immigrants and want tougher laws on immigration (agree with the last bit but the first?), they admit to supporting the BNP, they say with pride that they give abuse to foreign call center staff, they make racist jokes etc. the other day a guy was saying how he doesn't like foreign nurses treating him at hospital so he says "that black **** is not coming anywhere near me". these people say to me that they like me and I'm an exception, but I hate that because my parents and family are pakis so what good is it if i'm "redeemed" for being a paki, these are 40+ yr old ppl and old enough to be my parents with me bein 18 and they take all their fruistrations out passing racist comments, some are dead nice and I forget the nasty things some of them say but then they remind me again..

it's hard being a paki in this country, most my friends are whites (people say i act like that Anwar kid on Skins/E4) because i feel intimidated by other asians (too shy to socialise with them) but i always feel as though i'm "not completely one of the lads" amongst my white friends, i feel like an outsider amongst them, most times they're nice and tell me they love me to bits but then they makde blatantly racist/islamophobic comments and tell me i'm an exception (insult everything i hold dear but expect me to laugh because it's nowt personal)..

Re: Is it a disease to be Pakistani?

I wonder if its an English thing, because in the States you dont really experience such things, atleast me and my friends havent. We experience things for being muslim, but not necessarily for being Pakistani.
