It may be a good idea in the future... But currently, Iran is a liabilty. Ahmadinajd has the tact of metal bat, and I doubt associating with Iran more then we have too will have any healthy results for Pakistan.

There are enough Shia-Sunni problems in Pakistan already. Iran and Pakistan are not known for their tolerance towards the minorities (religious or otherwise).
So, a union between Iran and Pakistan is a bad idea.

I consider myself to be a fairly conservative Sunni Hanafi Muslim. I don't agree with any of your statements. I don't advocate the killing of any Muslim, especially by another Muslim.
There is no "shia" menace, we don't "need" more land to spread out.

We HAVE land. Pakistan needs to develop properly.
Their sect is not "evil." I don't agree with Shiism or follow their tradition, but I don't think that we should have disunity in the ummah.
Besides we don't need Iran's troubles in the Middle East.

signup, Building or establishing a Union is one thing but you are talking abt sort of a merger bewteen the countries. You make it seem so easy as if the entire country will accede to Pakistan.
We are members of the redundant ECO, formerly RCD and we acheived zilch. For Iranians the construction of Gawader Port is an omnious sign for their own Chabahar port which is being built with the help of India. So, in a way we are rivals and not really friends... :p

Iran has resources but a few more years of this sorta religious+crackpot combo regime, don't be surprised if you find them destitute and relying on exxon and chevron to manage their assets and blackrock to provide minimal security
