intermarrying? incest?

Re: intermarrying? incest?

now if Adam WAS the first human...then it suggests the earth is relatively young...how do we explain so much. :( (existence of various species before modern humans, old earth, etc) :(

Re: intermarrying? incest?

haven’t you heard about the last Khutba in which the prophet [saws] said that “be witness that today i’ve completed the deen for you”…which means nothing can be added or deleted or amended in the major issues. marrying a sibling is a major issue. the door to ijtihaad is closed on that.

the prohibition of alcohol was introduced in stages as a ‘need of the hour’…later it was declared Haraam through the aHaadees e saHeeHa. that’s just one example.

Adam WAS the first man on earth as accepted by ALL the monotheistic faiths.

Re: intermarrying? incest?

I do not think that "incest" was allowed, even if their was a need. Actually their was no need, why should be if Adam (as) was not the first man. I'll do my research on this and let you know what I found out.

Re: intermarrying? incest?

what about need of the hour today. the world is more dynamic than ever *today. *lets modify some rules to fit our needs and desires. oh wait, we do already :cb:

Re: intermarrying? incest?

looking forward to it. :k:

Re: intermarrying? incest?

because, this door is closed for ALL the time to come…Philosophy may have no jurisdiction on the articles of faith.

Re: intermarrying? incest?

kya baat hai.

Re: intermarrying? incest?

I am not sure how did you relate these 2. How does it suggest that?

Re: intermarrying? incest?

bas! ab meraa quota is thread kaa pooraa ho gayaa...aap log Khushi se 'laRo maro' hahaha :D :p

Re: intermarrying? incest?

when do religious texts suggest he lived on earth? and you ignored what the parenthesis say.

Re: intermarrying? incest?

but don’t expect me to give you an answer by end of this week. It can take time. I would recommend to do a research all together. Maybe we can wipe out differences. Give your hands, don’t take 'em back. Until then no speculation please. All what we do is speculate, even I do it to a certain degree and this is not what really want.

Re: intermarrying? incest?

No where it quran it says that Adam's creation and earth creation happened at the same time.

Re: intermarrying? incest?

where ever i have read (not quran as i am still searching) i get to see that adam's (as) first two sons habil and cabil married each other sisters.....adam (as) wife always used to have twins (a male and a female)...so when there used to be two sets of twins...one male used to marry the other female of the twin (but wasnot allowed to marry his own twin.

so really if incest is haram then why god didnot create more people the way he created adam (as) and his wife? what were the reasons?

or he did create more couples/human beings but since they dont get mentioned thats why we have less knowledge about them.

hmmmm

Re: intermarrying? incest?

I sometimes think that this is not our business.

Logically, if Adam (as) was not the first man, but the first Prophet, there is no need to ask if humans did incest. We should focus more on our future, to make it better. Somehow my mind doesn't want to believe this story.

124.000 Prophets saw the world, some are mentioned, the greater part not. Do we ask who these Prophets were? No. We ask if human race flourished through incest. A whispering from the evil I believe.

Re: intermarrying? incest?

:smack:

it was just a question that came to my mind…there is nothing wrong in that…if u have the knowledge please share it otherwise dont ruin the thread.

Re: intermarrying? incest?

He created Eve from Adam's rib, which pretty much makes Adam, her father. Does Allah still do that? No, right? So why keep asking why he did certain things like this or that?

Re: intermarrying? incest?

Where am I ruining your Thread which came into your mind from the evil whispering? Is this a question to spend your precious time with? When you get an answer, what will you gain? Salvation? Don’t ever again talk me to this way.

I’m trying to be polite and answer your questions. I never said that there is something wrong in that. I only said, this is not our business. I think, I said.

@TLK:

Eve was not created from Adam’s (as) rib. Allah created both men and women from a single soul.

O ye people! fear your Lord, Who created you from a single soul and created therefrom its mate, and from them twain spread many men and women; and fear Allah, in Whose name you appeal to one another, and fear Him particularly respecting ties of relationship. Verily, Allah watches over you

Chapter Al-Nisa, Verse 2.

Re: intermarrying? incest?

its just a question....and i only wanna see maybe someone has an explanation...not challenging his rules.

And according to quran adam (as) wife wasnot created from his rib.

(surah al-araf: verse 189)

It is He Who created you from a single person, and made his mate of like nature, in order that he might dwell with her (in love). When they are united, she bears a light burden and carries it about (unnoticed). When she grows heavy, they both pray to Allah their Lord, (saying): "If Thou givest us a goodly child, we vow we shall (ever) be grateful."

(surah nisa: verse 1)

O mankind! reverence your Guardian-Lord, who created you from a single person, created, of like nature, His mate, and from them twain scattered (like seeds) countless men and women;- reverence Allah, through whom ye demand your mutual (rights), and (reverence) the wombs (That bore you): for Allah ever watches over you.
