I usually avoid the gay debate as this is one of the issues that people have very strong opinions about and you can not change their views one way or the other. However this is a big cliam to make TLK. Do you have any proof to back this up other than reproduction because if the only purpose of sexual organs are to reproduce then there is no evoluntary purpose of sexual pleasure.

bebo, wouldn't you say sexual pleasure drives one to have sex often, thereby pass on your genetic traits to more offsprings than someone who has no sexual pleasure? it does have a huge evolutionary purpose.
and tlk, there are plenty of instances of homosexuality in animals. recently, a gay penguin couple were in the news for foster-parenting and hatching an abandoned egg.

why you say that there are many animals including birds, fish, mamals who display homosexual behaviours , besides why assume that evoluntionry process has stopped.
I agree queer but it is counter argument for people who say that homosexulaity is unnatural because you can not reproduce that way, my point being sexual organs are not only for reproduction.

UZ, they're denying the existence of a God alltogether.. they aren't associating any partners to Him. They (Atheists) have the first part right "la illaha.." (there's no God) they just don't blv the rest of it.
UZ, some sins are bigger no doubt and they are:
1.) Associating partners with God. 2.) Murder 3.) Zinna 4.) Witchcraft 5.) Not paying zakat 6.) Disrespecting parents 7.) Abandoning relatives 8.) Not praying 9.) Not perfoming hajj when able to 10.) Zinnah
Surely, Allah does not forgive associating anything with Him, and He forgives whatever is other than that to whomever He wills. (al-Nisa 4:48 and 116)
Zinna in Islam means extramarital sex and premarital sex. so it has nothign to do with gender.
ps1. these ranking matters when you one will be put in hell, as there are levels of hells. so focus on Sin is a Sin. if Quran says its a sin then it is a sin. baki we dont know whether ALLAH SWT forgive u for that sin or not.
ps2. and you quoted Quran. you should also quote Quran where it specifically talks about Nation of Prophet Lot AS.

PM dude, before you tell others to respect what you believe in (esp when you mention sufis who spread islam by example - which makes it funnier coming from you), learn to respect what they believe in i.e. 10 hands and trunks is the most disrespectful thing you could come up with - and it is fairly obvious for what reasons. Just a word of advice.
As for the topic, atheism - just like following any religion - is a matter of personal choice and you can't point fingers and pass judgements merely because someone doesn't believe in what you believe in. I am not an example of a perfect muslim and hence myself pointing fingers at others is nothing but a joke. In fact, tolerance is of prime importance in islam and "infidel must die" mentality is not going to take us anywhere. If one does not believe in god, they must have their own reasons. Unless I am willing to sit down with them, discuss the reasons and I am knowledgable and convincing enough to make them believe otherwise, I would mind my own business.
As for a belief (or lack thereof) being a disease and plague - let us examine ourselves first. We believe in one god and his message. Knowing the message and acting 180 degrees opposite - thats the disease. Lets cure ourselves first, and then focus on spreading the light.

Zinnah and homosexuality are listed seperately.. some sins are graver. Unless and untill we're perfect examples of Muslims and do NO wrong we can't call atheists as "diseased".
Islam doesn't allow ridiculing anyone's belief's.. even if that person doesn't blv in God.
