Now I don’t wish to talk about this issue but it’s something which I must ask, do you guys noticed Pakistanis with inferiority complex? E.g I know a person who claimed he was from Morocco rather then Pakistan, and I knew 100% and so did everyone that he was Pakistan, couldn’t speak a word of arabic. But I’m wondering how deep is this obsession, some Pakistanis claim to be Pashtun/Iran/Turkish too, do people think just cause of brown skin, we are hairy, smell of curry, have bad hygiene, too me it’s kinda of understable, brown people get a lot of hate and I’m not surprised considered stereotypes in the west
Re: Inferiority Complex between Pakistanis…
Must be a UK thing.
Re: Inferiority Complex between Pakistanis…
You sound like a troll, why would Pakistani lie about being Pashtun, when Pashtuns are the 2nd largest ethnicity in Pakistan.
You sound like an Indian cause you don’t seem to know much about Pakistan.
Re: Inferiority Complex between Pakistanis…
sorry bro it’s here in the UK, mer nai indian hai lol, the vast number of pakistanis in the uk are either mirpuri/punjabis. the pashtuns i have come across are all from afghanistan, i’ve only met one or two from pakistan
Re: Inferiority Complex between Pakistanis…
How true. It is so annoying when Pakistanis claim they have Arab/Persian/other ancestry. Like whats so wrong with being Pakistani? sometimes be proud of where your from.
I think it stems from the fact that most people look down on people of south Asian descent, since no Pakistani ever claims they are Indian or Bengali or whatnot. So sad really.
Re: Inferiority Complex between Pakistanis…
i feel like i was heading down that route too until I joind paklinks, it’s interesting to learn about my culture, sadly theres not much of the history.
Re: Inferiority Complex between Pakistanis…
we do??? ![]()
I most certainly do not!
Re: Inferiority Complex between Pakistanis…
Errrr it’s so cringe when some Pakistanis do that. I legit find it so embarrassing when Pakistanis claim that they’re this or that, and that too with a straight face. And LOL what type of pakistanis have you been hanging around
Re: Inferiority Complex between Pakistanis…
apologies if i offended anyone, i’m saying it’s the perception people have off us, i knows it’s not true lol
Re: Inferiority Complex between Pakistanis…
Everyone knows I am a Paki but I can understand those who want to hide it. Pakis don’t have the best social image in the world
Re: Inferiority Complex between Pakistanis…
Btw I didn’t mean to say all do it, only like 1 out of 200 do it lol
Re: Inferiority Complex between Pakistanis…
I agree, but some people like americans I talked to online said that some of the pakistanis they met at university were honestly one of the best people they ever met once they got to know them, warm, friendly etc, all synamous with being pakistani lol
Re: Inferiority Complex between Pakistanis…
Your friend is a dope. I mean Iranians/Turkush/Moroccans aren’t even on the sexiest men list. ![]()
Re: Inferiority Complex between Pakistanis…
It’s probably because Pakistan has a bad name due to terrorism.
Re: Inferiority Complex between Pakistanis…
We should bookmark that world’s sexiest list on our phones and show it ppl whenever they ask our nationality
Re: Inferiority Complex between Pakistanis…
Not really imo.. Plenty of people back home also claim to be descendants of Persians and Arabs when they’re not..
Re: Inferiority Complex between Pakistanis…
I would be ok if someone claims Arab ancestry within 2 generations. Otherwise it’s just ridic. I have seen my family tree and I descend from the prophet’s family. He was an Arab. Does that make me an Arab? Nope
and the way Arabs are, I am not sure if I would be proud being an Arab.
Re: Inferiority Complex between Pakistanis…
don’t think i’ve come across this. we’re all pretty cool being pakistanis
although maybe i should dig up my persian roots to seem cool if that’s the trend ![]()
Re: Inferiority Complex between Pakistanis…
Everyone I know is a proud Pakistani; too proud if anything. I have yet to meet a self-hating Pakistani personally. I always read about them online but never actually meet them. Why care if someone claims certain ancestry? The subcontinent had to get populated somehow, right? Actually, our subcontinent has a very interesting human migration history. Not only that, it is perhaps the most racially mixed place on earth. Note, I said racially mixed not racially or ethnically diverse.
PS. I get everybody pissed off when I say “the partition shouldn’t have happened, didn’t need to happen.”
It’s not insensitive. At some point, humans have to learn to coexist peacefully or they will keep dying unnecessarily.
Re: Inferiority Complex between Pakistanis…
That’s BS, majority do not, only minority do.
Arab ancestry is mostly fabricated but Turkic and Persian ancestry among a small minority is real, genetic tests and history attests to this but the vast majority of Pakistanis are native to the lands that make up Pakistan, which is a unique region(the Indus valley).
