Satire has it’s limits (and some quality). Portraying every Pakistani as a suicide bomber in every show is not only stereotypical but also propaganda. The 4man show are nowhere near as rude or tasteless compared to ‘Jay Hind’ so please don’t even go there.
Anyway back to the topic - I wasn’t so sure what I felt about the effect of Indian TV on Pakistani culture until I saw this clip that was previously posted on another thread:

May be people like you are a little too sensitive. Plus, their level of satire is same for all the subjects they make fun of. They even made fun of Shah Rukh Khan, when he was detained on airport and especially the politicians.
I think jay hind show should invite a fake stupid character & potray him as Jinnah, and make him stand on chair and table, just like 4 man show had invited a fake stupid Gandhi.May be that will suit your pakistani taste,
Media has its effects. As a child I was not allowed to watch TV beyond a certain time.

^^ Don't forget that Pakistani television has been PERPETUALLY banned in India throughout while Pakistan has allowed the screening of bollywood films and even Indian television stations (until now). Allow Pakistani channels in India and I'm sure the Pakistanis will reciprocate. The Pakistani-channel content argument is futile because Indian channels have been spewing anti-Pak vitriol for ages now, and despite that they were being broadcasted on cable network in Pakistan. Honestly, it doesn't take an Einstein to figure this out.

Sometime back High Court Judge of Lahore said, “there might be some involvement of hindus in explosions in Lahore”. Rather than saying Indian, he said hindu. Did he forget Justice Bhagwan Das is also a hindu?
Shoaib Malik “I thank muslims throughout the world for supporting Pakistani team”. Did he forget Azhar played and captained Indian team?
Plus, It has become a fashion statement to bash non muslims in media. I have often seen Pakistani political Commentators invited by respectable TV hosts and journalists uttering statements against non-muslims especially jews and hindus.
You dont even acknowledge this fact, And now it has become a Pakistani trait to live in denial.
Its high time you know the difference between country and religion, till then you are advised not to venture out of Pakistan.
Do you have any clip shown on Indian TV in which the host or the guest maligns Islam or muslims?

It's hilarious you're suggesting a war of youtube clips when the Anti-Pakistani bias of practically ALL the Indian channels is known to all, a major reason why most educated Pakistanis refrain from subscribing those channels.
If you don't want to get along with us it's fine, just don't cry when we slap retaliatory bans on your channels.

someone has mentioned this already...but its only fair that pakistani channels get aired in india if indian channels are allowed to air in pakistan (till now). Unfortunately that has not been the case, while pakistan has given them a full platform, they refuse to air our channels on their satellite. Its not fair that they generate all this revenue through us while they don't allow us to do the same in their country. I am sorry to say but you can't clap with one hand. and as for bollywood giving "oppurtunities" to pakistani artists...umm its a two way street...Bollywood actually needs pakistani artists, they are not really doing them a favor. These artists have given new life to bollywood music. There was an article about that in one of the indian newspaper as well. Where the author stated that since people are demanding more sufi type music with the exception of few indian musicians like roop kumar rathod, pakistani musicians are pretty much the only ones who have mastered the art of sufi music.

let me also say this...I am against the ban...I was born in pakistan and we had indian channels but my dad never let us watch stupid programs that air on tv...we had a time limit for tv viewing. I mostly grew up watching ptv though and absolutely love pakistani dramas...while I don't mind watching bollywood movies every now and then either. My thing is before you accuse pakistan of being the "backward" society and a society that hates "non muslims" or hindus please look at your own society first...if they are so progressive why is it that the government has outrightly refused to air our channels? and please don't try to judge the mentality of 180 million pakistanis with a gujjar like shoaib malik, i find that very insulting that you would try to put people like me in the same category!

its becoz some TV commentrators in Pakistan have made non muslim bashing their full time job. And they do it live on national TV......Its not becoz they are anti-india, but coz they are anti-non muslim.
On the other hand, on Indian TV, you will never find anyone who bashes muslims or Islam.
India wants to protect the secular fabric of her society.
We Indian muslims dont want to be compared to these muslims who bash non muslims live on Pak TV.
I dont want my hindu/muslim/sikh neighbors researching on Gazwa-e-hind theory, which millions of educated Pakistani youth strongly believe in.

angelina jolie did not represent hollywood or america, she has been hired by United Nations as a brand Ambassador. She is representing UN in Pakistan. She was sent by United nations to Pakistan as a good will ambassador. Plus, Pakistan is not even accepting Indian flood aid direclty, You want us to direct it via UN. Why is that??

Look if you're trying to prove your identity as an Indian by bashing Pakistani channels, you need help. You guys are in a tough spot and I can see that, but it's sad that you have to prove your Indianess to your countrymen only by bashing Pakistan, because they always distrust your loyalty. This isn't the place to deal with your personal laundry. A psychiatrist would be a better option.

I have no issues with Pakistani channels. I have issues with some political commentators who come on Pakistani channels and bash non Muslim religions.
Its those 1) who speak on TV against other religions, 2) those who support them and 3) those who keep mum even after listening to them need psychiatric treatment.
Which category do you belong Mr. Stalker 1, 2, or 3?? Stick to the topic , cut the crap. If you focus on, why sunnis are killing shias, it would be much better for you & Pakistan, rather than focusing on Indianess of indian muslims

Try watching Pakistani television before forming opinions about it. Also note that if you're not accepted in India it's not Pakistan's fault. It's not the Pak channels' fault either.

koffee with karan was really good...i used to enjoy it a lot..KBC both srk and amitabh ones were fantastic. u dont find any program good fine your choice :)
