What about Indian Navy's involvement?? They capture 100's of poor fishermen when they are even a few meters inside Indian waters and yet these terrorists travelled 100's of kilometers inside India without any troubles, what's going on there????

Incompetency of the navy is being investigated. But culprits who commited the crime is the one who needs to be taken care of first. Unfortunatly those scumbags are Pakistanies and rely on an incompetent Pakistani govt. to take care of them. Sufficiently squeezing them we can get them to do what we want.

One of my Indian friend was actually shocked that Pakistan had beautiful Northern Areas, Motorways, highways etc, he was always under the impression that Pakistan is like Afghanistan where there are hardly any infrastructure.
I bet you think that most Pakistanis are extremists, carry guns, wearing caps, ALL girls wear burqa and all go to Madrassas. I am talking from my own experience as i have many close Indian friends.
Well I am not in the same league as your indian friend. I dont believe everybody in Pakistan carry guns and other things you mentioned. But I believe that the Pakistan that is modern is being squeezed out in the decision making. Their numbers are coming down and talibanisation ( due to bad policies of your own govt and military) is taking place in large areas of your land.

I will not deny that many of us had pre-preconceived notion about Pakistan. But your people or the govt are doing nothing to ally those fears. Pakistani military needs to have India as its enemy to justify its funding and establish its grip over power centers in Pakistan.

It is not that the Pakistan government is in "bed" with the terrorists ..... but their actions in the past and in this case also point to a reality that India's are aware of .....
The last time there was an attack on the Parliament ..... troops were pushed to the border ..... and Pakistan acted against the LeT. It banned the organisation and arrested its leadership. Things settled back to normal and there were talks of peace between the two countries.
Had the establisment been "honest" in its resolve it would have made sure that these elements do not act against India. That is what any country expects of a neighbouring country. But these elements were allowed to regroup and become a force to act against India. Then again Pakistan could have acted as a responsible neighbour and acted (as it is doing now, but under pressure) against these elements. Even now it seems the actions taken by Pakistan is more to protect itself from the international pressure then a genuine desire to sort out this problem.
And what is the problem .... there are groups within Pakistan who aspire for a military soultion against India. Now these are not some run of the mill . hate spewing extremists. These are players with serious "muscle" and means to "do" what the say???? Time to wake up to reality !!!!
If anything the public support to the militants in Swat should leave no one in doubt as to where these militants get their support from !!!!!

India and pakistan enjoyed some good relations(before Mumbai attack) in the past 5-6 years but defence budget didn’t go down, did it???

NEW DELHI: India on Monday presented a Rs 9,532.31 billion expenditure interim budget for fiscal year 2009-10, showing a massive hike of over 55 percent to the defence budget.
Citing the security crisis resulting from the Mumbai terror attacks, External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee, who also holds the finance portfolio, presented a new defence budget of Rs 1,417.03 billion. Last year, New Delhi had a projected defence expenditure of Rs 916.81 billion, which Defence Ministry sources said was overshot to hit Rs 1,146 billion. Compared to the revised 2008-09 budget, the interim budget has been increased by 24 percent. The new sum comprises 15 percent of the entire budget and Mukherjee said the amount could be increased if necessary, AFP reported. iftikhar gilani/afp

FBI team to visit Pakistan in connection with Mumbai attacks
A team of the US Federal Bureau of Investigation is expected to visit Pakistan next week to follow-up the findings of the probe conducted by Pakistani authorities into the Mumbai terror attacks.
The visit by the 7-member FBI team has been cleared by the Foreign Office, diplomatic sources said on Friday (February 20).
The team will interact with Pakistani law enforcement officials to discuss the findings of their probe into the Mumbai incident, the sources said.
]The FBI is also expected to question the six suspects detained by Pakistani authorities in connection with the attacks, the sources said.
These suspects include Lashker-e-Taiba operatives Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi, Zarar Shah and Hamad Amin Sadiq.
Interior ministry chief Rehman Malik had last week said Pakistani authorities had filed formal charges against nine suspects, including Ajmal Amir Kasab, the lone terrorist captured in India for the attacks. He said six of the eight other suspects had been detained while two are still at large.
Malik had also acknowledged that part of the conspiracy behind the Mumbai incident was hatched on Pakistani soil.
The FBI has played a key behind-the-scenes role in the sharing of information uncovered by Indian and Pakistani investigators.

Pakistan army needs a reason for its survival and to take over democratic insitutions in Pakistan .... by the threat from India it can step in as a defender of the country and do the kind of things they have been doing .... and the ordinary people of Pakistan have to suffer.
