India did make all kinds of threats... They may not have used the word "war" but threats were made in "dealing" with Pakistan.
Pakistan on its part did what it could to resolve the issue.

As for not being able to sustain itself without India, again, you give yourself way to much credit.

What is the big confusion here? Gilani has been looking for a chance to release from Zardari's clutches. Zardari finds himself in the wrorg side of public sentiment in the Kasab affair and so Gilani has realized however obviously counter it may be to accepted facts, saying harmless things such as 'don't accept evidence' or 'won't handover' etc only gain him admiration amongst the severely hurt population in Pakistan.

Even look at the Qasab incident ...... to begin with Pakistan refused he was from Pakistan .... this is when even their own media was saying yes he is from Pakistan ..... There is no law against day dreaming, One comes from Pak or Mars don't mean no jack unless one is convicted in a court of law. Do they have such a thing in India? The mental midget is talking about trial in Pak does the mental midget even knows that any court (minus India) will demand full access to key witnesses..

Insetad of jumping from tree to tree like a circus monkey why not ask for trial at international court of justice instead of Pak? is India that helpless or is it afraid that what ever witness you have will spill the beans...

This is the problem with .... you dont read past the headlines ... all your opinion's are based on just reading headlines and not going into teh subject matter.

Let me explain to you about Modi's statement also ... he wants an anti terror law for all of India, hence the statement. He is smart enough to realise that Qasab was caught in Maharashtra which has MCOCA .... under which his statement is admissible under law ..... if Qasab had been in an attack in delhi .... then perhaps he had a chance .....

So my advice to you is ... read beyond the rhetoric and the headlines
