PESHAWAR: Independent MPA, Imran Mohmand was among twenty people killed during a blast at the funeral procession of a local petrol station owner in the Shergarh area of Mardan. Over 25 people were injured in the blast.
Imran Mohmand was elected as an independent candidate to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly from PK-27.
According to police the blast took place during the funeral procession of Haji Abdullah. Abdullah a well known figure in the area was killed by unknown gunmen on Monday.
According to the Provincial Information Minister, Shaukat Yousafzai, initial reports indicated that the blast was a suicide attack. Speaking to Geo News, Yousafzai said there were threats against Imran Mohmand and two policemen had been deployed for his security. Yousafzai added that a change in foreign policy was essential to dealing with the menace of terrorism.
The injured have been shifted to the Mardan Medical Complex for treatment.

We sincerely hope their loved ones will find the strength to deal with this tragedy. We also wish to see the injured make a quick and speedy recovery. Incidents like these emphasize the importance of shared cooperation in regards to our peace objectives in the region. Those who are working against our peace efforts continue to send the region into chaos and frenzy with these acts of terror. We fully support the government of Pakistan in its fight against these extremist organizations. We share a common stance against terrorism, and it only makes sense to work together to negate the common threat. We hope to continue our partnership and remain unified for the sake of stabilizing the region.

Fazlu must be enjoying this and I wont be surprised if he is behind this. He enjoys ties with taliban like no other and would do any thing to destabilize PTI gov there.
IK is back tomorrow. hopefully he will come up with a comprehensive plan to tackle this with support from center.

the other MPA was murdered too and FIR was launched against JUI candidate from same area. This is a muddled situation and characters like Fazlu have never helped. Do we have any doubt that he will do anything to destabilze PTI gov?
IK was the first one to advocate dialogues with TTP through tribal leaders. It would be interesting to see how this unfolds in coming days when IK comes back on center stage. One things for sure, this is PTI's biggest test in three weeks.

so an FIR was filed against someone from JUI in murder of another person means that this one also killed by someone from JUI? and remember, that is only FIR, no more progress

If Pti fails in kpk and the nationalists in balochistan, the situation will keep on getting bleaker for Pakistan. Our establishment has pushed the country into an abyss by their stupid games.

Three different schools of thought. One is blaming the rival party JUIF, other is blaming the Amreeka and third is blaming the establishment, as usual, when no one so far has taken the responsibility for this attack officially.
We couldnt be any more confused as a nation as to what is happening in our country and who could be behind it.

^ the establishment is always with Americans, and they have been propping up these strategic assets during the past three decades. Wrong policies of the establishment have again brought us on the verge of collapse. These asset are more visible in balochistan where they seem to have allowed extremists like LEJ to establish their foothold to weaken the insurgency, end result is that Government has lost its writ in Quetta.
