Khail? is that a typo for Khiyaal or khail as in play/game? Oh oh oh…got it
The games we play!
I think it is a very good deed by the cafe owners who did this :k::k:
It at least gives us a good view of what ‘our’ culture actually is. How ‘complete’ our culture is. That is, our desi culture.
Often, you’ll see that people are boasting around about our desi culture and how good it is and how closely knit and close to islam our culture is etc etc. And if you bring against it things that are bad, they are ususally ignored and only the good things -as far as there are any- are lit.
I think, that by monitoring this whole act, we have got a better view of what our culture actually is.
People will say that these things didnot use to happen in the ‘good old times’ etc. But that’s not true!!! these things happened then as much as they do now. Only difference being that then they were kept hidden and now they have been brought into the open. So i don’t know what all the fuss is about.
Mehnaz, it weren’t even rude ..though it did get pornographic later. Waisay bhi i was more concerned with the plight of Phoolan Devi than anything else ![]()
lol DD ..
.. don’t worry, I’ve seen it myself for the same reasons you watched it.
Nes, goood point. I just love the s.h.o.c.k.e.d faces of our 'cultured conservative better than other civilization' Pakistanis when they hear of such incidents taking place in the country.
Mehnaz, what happens in the end? She kills them all off? I didn't even get to see it all...bro came midway through :o

No Nescio, if you bring anything against Pakistani/desi culture, you are kicked out of Islam and called a fake/horrible Pakistani! :D
Nes, just because those kids did something wrong, doesn't make secretly taping and blackmailing right. Internet Cafes are meant to provide a service not act as moral guardians. They should have put up a notice at least that the cubicles are taped.

Her boyfriend is murdered. That's all I remember. Watched it ages ago.
MX: I agree taping ppl without their consent is unethical and against human law. But now since it has been done, we should try to get some positiveness out of it. Of course in future they should put up a notice.
Perhaps they should have made the faces of the people unidentifiable?
Bless, bless....poor thing has been assasinated herself too.

The net cafe owners never provided any guarantee of privacy. Plus taping the cubicles has the benefit of providing a record of any theft of property going on, such as stealing the mouse from a computer, or, worse, opening the computer and removing the small valuable components inside.
Using camera footage for the purpose of blackmail is unacceptable, but I see nothing wrong with making the recordings themselves. Furthermore, I do not believe that Pakistan has any laws making it mandatory to inform people when they are under electronic surveillance, as exists in the UK.
The cafe owners themselves have done nothing wrong by making video recordings of their own property, where they have provided no guarantees of privacy. They are completely within their legal rights. Where they break the law is in using legal video recordings for the purpose of blackmail.
Mad Man, according to your theory of "property owners have the right to tape their property" are you prepared for the phone company to tape your conversations over it's phone lines without letting you know they are taping you?

Not really. So what if they listen to my calls... there isn't anything that they could do to affect my life. In the aftermatch of the war on terror, many of my phone calls are certainly being recorded without my knowing.
I'm positive that there are recordings of my conversations with a number of my friends being stored at RAF Menwith Hill, an air force base in northern England. During those calls, myself and those friends have repeatedly violated the Anti-Terrorist Act 2000.
And yet I'm not too concerned. In my experience, people living in the USA tend to be more paranoid about being monitored than those in the UK.
Were they taped for security reasons or for blackmailing purposes?
I think it was probably the latter.
Even if pakistan has privacy laws, I doubt their ever applied.
But still what were these people thinking, they should have stuck to the cornfields, at least it would not have been filmed.

If they went to a place with public access, they should not have expected it to turn out happily. Best do deeds like this in private places.
