Re: [In defence of MMA]…Misreporting of facts…Re: female sportswomen in Gujranwal

Would you the same thing if police arrests someone in USA for being nude in public.

Concept of nudity in Pakistan is whole lot different from west. I consider a woman in chaddi running in streets of Pakistan as nude.

Re: [In defence of MMA]...Misreporting of facts...Re: female sportswomen in Gujranwala

I dont get why you think its nudity. Its not that wonderful to run in sweat pants, etc. It physically doesn't do anything for you excpet make you lose water weight. Like the girls here when they want to lose water weight for some sports team are made to jog around campus in sweat pants.

So, most runners wear these shorts for good reason, not to show off their legs. And if guys can wear such sports gear, then why can't girls?

Now the only thing I will give you - like fraudia said - is that this movement by these ladies is not going to help the women of pakistan go further in their feminist battle. But, nonetheless, there should be no violence over this.

Follow the laws of the land. There is no prohibition in Pakistani law for a girl to go outside wearing shorts and that too for good sports reasons.

Re: [In defence of MMA]…Misreporting of facts…Re: female sportswomen in Gujranwal

Then you need to get your head examined my friend.

Re: [In defence of MMA]…Misreporting of facts…Re: female sportswomen in Gujranwal

you wouldn’t have said this If you knew what Islam says about women covering their bodies.

That’s why I want MMA in power so it will become law of land prohibiting for girls to wear shorts in public.

if you are willing to send your ladies in chaddis to this marathon than you are the one who need your head examined not me.

Re: [In defence of MMA]...Misreporting of facts...Re: female sportswomen in Gujranwala

WRX - that's covering your bodies in PUBLIC. Like I said, I dont agree with public running of these women as equivalent to Islam nor is it going to help the feminist movement within Pakistan, but that doesn't justify any violence in protests. MMA and other such groups are always violent. And that's dumb, because that's unIslamic to begin with.

So I think they should wear shorts, since you should when running, but perhaps these ladies should have private female-only facilities in which to run.

Would the MMA support the building of such facilities.

Re: [In defence of MMA]…Misreporting of facts…Re: female sportswomen in Gujranwal

Why do fundamentalist morons bring up others family members in discussions? Can’t they win an argument without resorting to such a low point. If girls are wearing chaddis THEY ARE NOT NAKED. if they are not wearing anything, sans clothes, then THEY ARE NAKED. I know its hard for you to fathom, but think about it.

Re: [In defence of MMA]...Misreporting of facts...Re: female sportswomen in Gujranwala

aha, PCG gets it

both are wrong, MMA for resorting to violence and the girls for having such a ridiculous ambition

Re: [In defence of MMA]...Misreporting of facts...Re: female sportswomen in Gujranwala

no I got it from day 1. I just didn't know they were running in shorts.

I still thing the brunt of the blame is on those blasted bearded guys.

Re: [In defence of MMA]...Misreporting of facts...Re: female sportswomen in Gujranwala

^ all about perception

what counts is how you put your point across, MMA have failed in this regard, regardless of how noble their intentions may or may not be

Re: [In defence of MMA]…Misreporting of facts…Re: female sportswomen in Gujranwal

Yes they are naked according to standards of Islamic society of Pakistan. I know it’s hard for a liberal mind to understand that but think about it.

Re: [In defence of MMA]…Misreporting of facts…Re: female sportswomen in Gujranwala

oh no!! they are running in shorts! not shorts! NOT SHORTS! we’re all gonna die!!!

Re: [In defence of MMA]…Misreporting of facts…Re: female sportswomen in Gujranwal

Pakistan has other important issues to worry about instead of building such facilities where women can practice their God given right of running marathons in shorts. For God sake we don’t even have electricity in our villages yet and you are asking for female athletic facilities? Are you even aware of scarcity of basic necessities of life in Pakistan?

Re: [In defence of MMA]...Misreporting of facts...Re: female sportswomen in Gujranwala

^ then get right to it. forget about women running in chaddis. they are more dire issues to take care of.

Re: [In defence of MMA]...Misreporting of facts...Re: female sportswomen in Gujranwal

^ Treating liberal minds with danda is also one of the most important issue in Pakistan right now.

Re: [In defence of MMA]...Misreporting of facts...Re: female sportswomen in Gujranwala

^ lol :D

typical fascist bs. when can't solve something, blame a scapegoat.

Re: [In defence of MMA]...Misreporting of facts...Re: female sportswomen in Gujranwala

MMA is always used as scapegoat while bashing Islamic laws. When can't accept islam blame MMA.

Re: [In defence of MMA]...Misreporting of facts...Re: female sportswomen in Gujranwala

hey we accept islam. we just have a problem with MMA idiots pushing it down our throats.

Re: [In defence of MMA]…Misreporting of facts…Re: female sportswomen in Gujranwal

What part of Islam you accept? A part where it says that it’s ok for women to run around wearing chaddi in public?

Re: [In defence of MMA]…Misreporting of facts…Re: female sportswomen in Gujranwal

  1. There are written laws about nudity in US, those who break those laws get in trouble.

  2. Whether you consider women in chaddi as nude or women in a burlap sack as nude does not make it into law.

The mullah goons broke the law when they attacked the participants in that race.
They are more than welcome to consider it nudity or consider it whatever, whats not illegal is not illega.

khudai faujdar waisay hi kam hain kya Pakistan mein.

Re: [In defence of MMA]…Misreporting of facts…Re: female sportswomen in Gujranwal

Obviously not some version where it tells people to go break the law and attack people just because you disagree with them.
