Re: ~~ Imran Series ~~
It seems there are mvery genuin Safi Aashiq here.
Let me join the crowd. Whatever good we can say about him will not be sufficient.
Beyond doubt, Israr Ahmed is my favorite writer.
A writer and a poet and a very very nice and kind man. He never tried to talk harsh against thoes who copied his characters.

He faced the critic of portraying Imran the great and Col. Faridi as being 'impotent' by other 'charba' writers but he clearly defended his dream of writing a suspence novel without sex in it. H wanted to write something which a family person could also enjoy.
There has always been sex included into suspence and Jasoosi novels and gets mixed in during odd situations. Ibne Safi the great wanted to change that tradition and was very successful in it. he proved that sex does not guarentee success in novels and sex does not always sale!
I think Agatha Christi also mentioned his name at one time te remark was just a blank one as I recall reading and my impression at the time was that she purposely did not talk very good about him.
People were seen riding in public bus laughing while reading his novels.
Both adults and teenagers enjoyed his work alike.
The plot, the atmosphere and the language is nothing but awsome.
The contradiction of situations where Imran is seen living is artistically handled.
The combination of 'himaqat' and 'chalaaki' is added to the character very professionally.
he also managed to stay away from real politics of the world and created a mystic, fictitious country not far from Pakistan itself.
He did show his 'softcore' taste in sex at times.....anyone remembers the poem he wrote in one of the novel which had words like..
(About girls dancing in the field)
Seenay Ubalte Maikade, Aur Hont Paymanon ke Lab
................................Hansna Hansaana Be Sabab
......................................gaagar Ki Chaaon raqs Mein
Pagdandion Ke Us Taraf Mkhan Se Paaon Raqs Mein
Sorry thats all I could remember.
