Its not dead, its just resting. I will be getting some ibn-e-safi books from pakistan soon so im looking farward to getting my hands on them.

You all have a right to like Ibn-e-Safi as he was definitely a great writer but cannot deny the contribution of Mazhar Kaleem, he never copied name like some Ibn and neither copied ibn-e Safi style. Thwe problem is that people cannot simply grow up from one stlye. he not only has kept the character alive but kept it kicking as well. Manyy of you might never have heard of Safi had you not started with Mazhar Kaleem's novel. Even he has his own mimics like Azhar Kaleem etc.

When Ibn e Safi introduced Ali Imran for the first time, he was portrayed as ostensibly a moron. His face has a perpetual expression of ‘himaqat’. In the beginning of the series Imran is still learning–things like martial arts, pakistani bureaucracy etc etc unlike Mazhar Kalim’s or Safdar Shahin’s Imran, Ibne Safi’s Imran is not superhuman. Ibn e Safi’s Imran not only makes mistakes he also gets beaten up. Imran’s father is a govt bureaucrat (I think the head of intelligence) but the govt is supposed to be trying to establish a secret service. Imran becomes the head of this organization but his leadership is supposed to be a big secret. Apart from Imran, only two other people know of his position (actually 3, the third being a female, but Ibn e Safi kills her off). The other two are Imran’s friend and confidant, Black Zero, and another govt bureaucrat, Sir Sultan, who is supposed to work very closely with the secret service and who also happens to be Sir Rehman’s (Imran’s father) close friend. Not even Imran’s mother knows about this. Incidentally, Imran’s family is comprised of his parents and sister. His relationship with the females of his family is portrayed as the idyllic type we are used to watching in various PTV plays of the 80s** (which brings up another interesting topic to be discussed)**

Dr. Ahmad Safi (son of Ibne Safi) through an e-mail on July 5, 2009, has requested me to remove all novels of Ibne Safi which I have placed at esnips ---- The letter is self-explanatory in which Dr. Ahmad has rightly called my act a copyright infringement which I did accept and immediately removed all novels from my esnips folder ---- I request to all other friends to read the said letter and take the right decision — Dr. Ahmad writes:
