Khoji is right, the US problem was never really with Taliban, but with Al qaeda. I recall there was even a taliban delagation that came to the US to discuss possible mining contracts with US companires. This was apparently prior to the Cole bombing. After 9/1however, nothing could have stopped the invasion short of a complete unilateral surrender on the part of the taliban and al qaeda, and the arrestof Obl. It was impossible for the US to not go to , considering the outrage among Americans. It would have been political suicide on the part of Republicans.

I read them. The US said Afghanistan is harboting terrorists. Mullah Omar already not one of OBLs fans, asks for.proof. US says go F urself, we want OBL. Omar says no way, do ur worst. US helps topple the taliban literaly overnight. Technically, if Omar had given up OBL, what rational would the US have had?

there is some video clip in youtube I saw that a Talibani deligation visitng USA/State department etc about mining as well as about gas pipe line plan.

Imran bashers need to understand at least he is trying to provide a solution and he is brave enough to say it on International media.

what you guys have done apart from sitting in your home sofa just giving your own suggestions. Did you ever been to any part of Afghanistan/Wazeeristan/North? you have no understanding about the region and commenting like experts.

If you have a solution then go a head do something about it, its so easy to type on Pak forums but in reality its not as easy.

What suggestion do you have? I hope its not killing everyone? What is the difference between you and those Americans? What have we achieved so far with War? ask those mums, sisters, brothers who have lost loved ones. Do you even know how many innocent families been killed, you keep yupping about swat swat swat, how do you know that what percentage of innocent people was killed there. I am sure if any of your family member would have died there your comments would have been totally different.

I am sorry to say this is America who brought this war in this region and now running out of it as always.

Go on provide us the solution rather than bashing someone who is one man at least he is honest with his views and he dont have any personal agenda.

We love you Imran and we support you. Innshallah you will be the one change the fate of this country.

I am referring to thousands of Pakistanis killed in Karachi by ethnic terrorist piglets and some terrorists do die in operation clean ups dont they, happened in Swat as well. So dont feel too sad about it. However end of the day establishment is always willing to take the easy route instead of nibbing the evil in the bud.

I am not talking about post 9/11, I am talking about 5-6 months prior to that, besides Mullah Omar had offered to give OBL and others to a third party (neutral) but US didn't want that.

What establishment eventually does is not the point. The point is that such an "easy route" is a security threat to Pakistan.
You can negotiate with MQM, ANP, PMLN, PPP; but you can not negotiate with Taliban.

I can think of several other alternatives, but this thread is not for that discussion. Even negotiation MAY be an ultimate option but not now, not from the position of weakness, not without pre-conditions. Negotiations at this time would be like surrendering to those khawarij.

Anyway, you say that Imran AT LEAST has some solution. Why don't you look at what solution he is proposing? Let's say you can not think of anything better in your life, does it mean that you jump off the cliff?
Don't be a blind follower.

Imran presents this solution because he is a racist mindset. He thinks that by negotiating with Taliban he will help his fellow Pashtun. In reality he is being an enemy of Pashtun people. Because he is proposing to keep Pashtun people under the fasadi extremist influence of Taliban.

Imran can NOT be in alliance with MQM. It will be a political suicide for PTI and political exoneration for MQM.
