Imran Khan - The President Of Pakistan

Re: Imran Khan - The President Of Pakistan

^^^The party heads in other countries don't come on TV and offer justifications and excuses for terrorists. Imran Khan does just that. He has been offering excuses for the terrorists ever since he formed his tonga party. His statements are indistinguishable from Hameed Gul and Qazi Hussain.

I remember his interview on CNN right after 9/11 where he tried to go into "root cause" but did not find a receptive host and audience.

He didnt justify that, thats just something MQM.com likes to report. He does not like the approach that the Govt is taking, i.e. the pitho-ism. He thinks things can be settled with a dialogue. Now theres alot of people in the US who believe the Iraq war is unjustified, does that mean they are making excuses for the insurgents in Iraq?

Thank you Mostar! in that post I pointed more towards his followers. Let me elaborate a bit more about Imran as a person.

Unfortunately this thread has now been bitten by the same bug of personal rivalries - A hallmark of "tribals" all over the world. Just like this thread, Pakistan too is in the throws of tribalism. Thanks to our religion, even the city folks have turned into uncouth tribals. Our "civilized" city folks were supposed to be the leaders, but unfortunately they turned into sheep being herded around by the tribals.

Tribals now show up in big cities, setup shop in mosques, get their bomb laden jackets and cars, and trucks ready and then explode these nefarious religious symbols in the middle of their intended place.

And what do Imran the civilized do in this situation? Support the same ucouth tribal bombers.

Question is why does he do such a heinous thing? I mean this guy was born in Punjab, went to elite Pakistani schools like Aitchison College and then prestigious oxford.

From every aspect of his upbringing, he was supposed to be the flag bearer of Pakistan's urban elite. And yet so strangely he comes across the biggest supporter of uncouth tribals.

Many people blame this to his ethnicity aka Mianwali's half Punjabi half Pashtun background. I don't think that's true.

It is less of ethnicity and more of religious tribalism that makes up his political stance. In some ways, deep down he is behaving like the same uncouth British-born tribals who aspire to become martyrs in the name of Allah.

And the very religious brutal tribalism has kept him from achieving his true potential.

But there is hope. He is 56 years old now (wiki lists his birth year of 1952). He still has 10 years to become mature and see the light.

If he does so, and moves away from religious tribalism, he could very well prove to be a great leader.

Re: Imran Khan - The President Of Pakistan

Here is Imran claiming that the news of Taliban blowing girls schools and murdering people are government lies.

Re: Imran Khan - The President Of Pakistan

Imran Khan has lost whatever relevance he had.

It would be a start.

what do you mean why should he speak on behalf of the government? Does he speak on behalf of the government when he pushes Jamaat Islami/Hamid Gulesque idiocies about taleban being virtually misunderstood angry young men?

Every political party takes a stance on national issues regardless of whether or not they are in power, or should. When it comes to taleban or lal masjid, Imran Khan very frequently publicly takes stances in favour of extremists. On the other hand, I have NEVER seen him take a stance against the killing of innocents except that it is 'radd-e-amal', which is far, far, from condemning it.

He is a picture perfect Taleban apologist.

wht r they talkin outta their ass..huh…jahils..n imran khan da dumb ass ov pakistan..i havent even seen da whole video..its soo creepy da way they talk..gonna impose shariat ..yeah rite..duh!

hell yeah!

would you miss them?

So Robert, next time you go for your jummah prayers, youre going to go bomb your Imam Sahib?

Not everyone is as stupid as jihadis. A well palced sniper shot can do the trick

Re: Imran Khan - The President Of Pakistan

its not my job. Its law and enforcement job. If the imam does not want shariah, and just minds his business, then no one has any problem with him. Thats the key difference. These mullahs think that their laws are above state's laws and they can excercise their right to enforce them.

First of all, you sound like those people from Fox news when you say things like 'oh kill em all'. Not every cleric is out there to do all this. Also, I hope you stop being so naive and realize that its not just these clerics who are doing it, there could be a foriegn hand, and most likely there is. The same people who altaf goes and praises by calling Pakistan the biggest blunder in the history of mankind are probably supplying them with the stuff they need to create trouble here.

And another thing, if anyone wants to have shariah imposed, its their personal point of view, and as long as they are only 'vocal' about it and not enforcing it by physical means (which most clerics arent doing) you have no right to kill them.

Sure, we should not act in haste. We should wait till they start blowing hotels and public places etc. agreed.

If you think every cleric is out there to molest you or blow you up, then you no different from those right wing fox lovin hardcore christian republican fundamentalists who is out there dayom all those a-rabs!

Re: Imran Khan - The President Of Pakistan

wait, you probably think all arabs should be dead too, nevermind.

no, i am not sean hannity.

Re: Imran Khan - The President Of Pakistan

Imran Khan would make an excellent President.

I'm sure he would be able to stabilize Pakistan's law and order situation as well as economy through his genuine efforts. He is not the type to stuff his pocket while those around him starve.

This would really be the icing on the cake if he can jail all the convicted politicians with no chance of mercy, and brings back Altaf Hussain to face charges against him or break MQM because any political party needs a resident leader. Foreigners, sitting in far lands should not be able to lead a political party while watching from the outset.

Re: Imran Khan - The President Of Pakistan

Imran Khan would make an excellent lota carrier for Zawahiri or Osama.
