Its a prophecy made by Mohammad(PBH) I given you the hadiths, belive it or not. Don't go around imposing your own thoughts and opinions on this issues.
ONLY opinion that is acceptable on such issue is opinion of Prophet Mohammad thats it.
If you do not believe in Hadiths/sunnah of prophet that it is you who have problem...not others.
Yar sunnis have an authentic book that is called mushkwat sharif. and in this book on page 470 a hadees e Rasool(PBUH) is quoted. this hadees says mahdi(A.S) will be from Bibi Fatima's(a.s) family.
I am only quoting from your books.....
Wassalam
Also, shias believe that he is alive in some cave right…which is fine with me its your blieve, can you provide some solid references on such clame? It is not mentioned in any hadiths books or quran. :honh:
Than, we have “ignore” button, I love it when I press that on someone who is very opinionated!!!
Imam al-Mahdi disappeared in 260/874 when he became Imam. The last time that he was seen, was in the cellar of his father's
house in Samarra, Iraq. That is why it is rumored regarding Shia that they believe al-Mahdi is in the cave!!!
Some Sunni historians ignorantly attributed that Shia believe al-Mahdi is hiding in the cellar. Shia do NOT believe that Imam
al-Mahdi is in the Cave or Cellar! He was just seen there for the last time. He can be anywhere Allah wishes. However one
thing is clear is that he lives on the earth among people while people do not perceive. If that cellar has become famous as "Cellar
of Occultation" (Sardab al-Ghaybah), it is because it was made so by the non-Shi'i sources. There is NO mention of such name
by the Shia scholars. Imam al-Mahdi (AS) may sometimes live in one place and travels around the world, just the same as the
common belief of Muslims about al-Khidr (AS). (For more details see Kashf al-Ghummah, by Abul Hasan Ali Ibn Musa
al-Irbili, v3, p283; Kashf al-Astar, by Mirza Husain al-Noori, pp 210-216).
Second, with regards to the occultation of al-Mahdi (AS), the Quran does NOT rule out such an occurrence at all. Again, the
examples of Jesus (AS) and al-Khidr (AS), who are both in occultation, are worthy of mentioning.
** Some more references from Sunni ahadith books**
The Prophet (PBUH) said: "We the children of Abd Al-Mutalib are the
Masters of the inhabitants of Heaven: Myself, Hamza (RA), Ali (AS),
Jafar (RA), Hasan (AS), Hussain (AS), and Al-Mahdi (AS)."
Sunni reference: Sunan Ibn Majah, V2, Tradition #4087
The Prophet (PBUH) said: "The Mahdi will appear in my Ummah. He will
appear for a minimum of 7 or a maximum of 9 years; in that time, my
Ummah will experience a bountiful favor like never before. It shall
have a great abundance of food, of which it need not save anything,
and the wealth at that time is in great quantities, such that if a
man asks the Mahdi to give him some, and the Mahdi (AS) will say:
Here! Take!"
Sunni reference: Sunan Ibn Majah, V2, Tradition #5083
Remark: According to Shi'i sources, the Government of Peace and equality that Imam Mahdi will establish will last hundreds of years with no rival, and
then the day of Judgment will be set. What is mentioned in the above tradition as 7 or 9 years is related to the length of time that Imam Mahdi will fight
to conquer the world when he starts his mission.
The Prophet (PBUH) said: "We (I and my family) are members of a
household that Allah (SWT) has chosen for them the life of the
Hereafter over the life of this world; and the members of my household
(Ahlul-Bayt) shall suffer a great affliction and they shall be
forcefully expelled from their homes after my death; then there will
come people from the East carrying black flags, and they will ask for
some good to be given to them, but they shall be refused service; as
such, they will wage war and emerge victorious, and will be offered
that which they desired in the first place, but they will refuse to
accept it, until a man from my family (Ahlul-Bayt) appears to fill the
Earth with justice as it has been filled with corruption. So whoever
reachs that (time) aught to come to them even if crowling on the
ice/snow."
Sunni ref: Sunan Ibn Majah, V2, Tradition #4082, also in the History Tabari
aray sheeraz jane jigar,
This x-communist aka watcher aka chonkee dar aka shahzada saleem aka nanga is the same guy, he keeps babbling and will keep babbling. Most of the sunni guys are kool with Imam Mehdi (a.s)'s reappearance (including pristine, etc) because Imam Mehdi’s reappearance is mentioned in all mustanad (authentic) sunni ahadith. I will post some more sunni references. The reason I know all these ahadith from sunni books is I’ve read those ahadith books as well.
Good luck. Masha-Allah you are doing a good job brother sheeraz
Forgot one more name sheeraz dear,
So here goes the list again. Just ignore this guy, his names are:
**
stunned aka x-communist aka watcher aka chonkee dar aka shahzada saleem aka nanga
**
this guy should be on ignore for you. Just talk to all other “adults” and ignore this watcher kiddo.
nahi yaar cool guy..x communist is a girl living in states and i really thought that she is interested in Islam, and wanted to know bout shia beliefs as well..watcher and x communist dont agree on this topic..watcher does agree taht Imam Mehdi will come, x communist doesnt know anything bout Imam Mehdi..but i must say chokeedar shahzada saleem are takhreebkaar..these are the kind of people who spread false rumors and make muslims fights with each other
second, yes, sheraaz, i have discussed it wiht other ppl (adults namely) who have argued between themselves (ha) and yet i’ve been able to conclude upon something…
lemme start with a BASIC thought so EVERYONE can understand (this includes COOLGUY aka ?
Who knows the future aka ghaib ka ilm?–Allah!
Does anyone else have the power to know it?–NO!
Could the Prophet Mohammed know it at anytime without the help of Allah (Wahis)?–NO!
What is the Quran? – Sayings of ALLAH!
If ALLAH told the prophet about ISA coming back to earth, he would have also told the prophet (thru Wahi) about Mahdi. How could such alim-ul-ghaib (distinction of the future) be found in teh Sunnah if Allah didnt tell teh Prophet about Mahdi? Lets assume HE did, and anything ALLAH said in terms of history, judgement day,etc is written in teh QURAN!!!
as for watcher, i really dont know where hes gettin those mahdi hadiths from!..watcher, try to think it out logically from teh description of the process given above.
Another sunni hadith on Imam Mehdi (a.s):
In a tradition upon whose authenticity all Muslims agree, the Holy Prophet has said:
"Even if the entire duration of the world's existence has already been
exhausted and only one day is left before Doomsday (Day of judgment),
Allah will expand that day to such a length of time, as to accommodate
the kingdom of a person out of my Ahlul-Bayt who will be called by my
name. He will then fill out the earth with peace and justice as it
will have been full of injustice and tyranny before then."
Sunni Reference: Sahih Tirmidhi, V2, P86, V9, P74-75 (There are many more.)
x communist we shia believe in ONE THING..why sunnis have different opinion about everything? and again you can consider Prophet to be a normal person but not us Shia..we believe he knew the future..he was not an ordinary person like u sunnis believe
There wasnt a SUNNI SECT until the SHIA sect STARTED! Therefore, I am neither SUNNI nor SHIA", I am A MUSLIM FOLLWING THE QURAN AND THE SUNNAH"S OF THE PROPHET MOHAMMED!
It is repeated many times in the QURAN that teh prophet is not NOOR or anything else except a NORMAL HUMAN BEING (HUMAN as teh KEYWORD!) who Allah chose as his MESSENGER!!! how simple can it get???
why do you believe the PROPHET was SOMEWHAT extraoridnary? (according to the para. above)
Sherazz your believe that "he" knew future really contradicts with quran. ONLY Allah knows the future and unseen! Also, I don't believe that Imam Mehdi is in some cave and all that...he is yet to born. Inshalllah.
