Hi,
I know someone very close to me he is very religious and always has been. He prays 5 times a day + extra prayers in the morning before fajar. He has a beard, is a member of the committee in the mosque, fasts, reads quaran daily, has been to hajj etc etc... he is 30 years old. Has never been with a girl and shows no interest towards girls at all. We have aked him to let us know if he likes a girl and we will get him married but he says there is no-one, we have offered to introduce him to girls but he says no. I know he is very religious but i don't think it's normal for a 30 year old man to not and never have been interested in a female. When i think aboutit i can't actually imagine him with a girl. My sister and I think he is gay....i'm serious.
The point of this is to say that even if you are so close to your religion you could still be gay.

I dunno how true it is but .. i ve only heard that there is some organisation in Canada. they decalre themselves Muslim do everything but declare themselves to be Homosexual also. but the concept of being muslim and homo contradicts ..

People, the thread starter isnt looking for the religious perspective...Im sure he already knows that being gay himself.
Islam does teach that homosexuality is wrong. However, we wont know what he is going through until we are in his shoes, correct? I have to commend the guy on his abstinence and his determination to not sin as he has not been with a man.
I dont know how much truth there is to this but someone once told that there are 2 kinds people in this world: one kind will enjoy life to its fullest, sin all they want, indulge in everything and life will be so easy for them even good people will be jealous and question their morals. Those people pay for their sins in the hereafter. The other kind will live a troubled life, suffer a lot and go through many trials...life will not be the most pleasant for them. These people will actually pay for their sins in this world and be able to go peacefully to their Creator.
I truly believe this is your trial in this life. Stay strong.

choose how you want to live...thankfully you know being gay is haram. so either declare yourself gay or muslim....im not saying convert to something else, dont do that, but either be one or the other i dont think you can be both and luckily you know why
can i ask what attracts you about men...and what doesnt attract you about women..do you not like the shape of a woman ....??

I know so many “Muslims” who actively practice adultery, drink alcohol, go clubbing etc. They take part in haram activities yet society still sees them as Muslim. Why isn’t it the same for homosexuality? Is it a sin that much worse? Are there levels of sins, in which homosexuality is high up in the list? Or is it just a cultural thing?
