I respect SKMH.. have donated personally in the past and will donate in future also. But the most respectable course for the management will be to admit their mistakes.. and tell the potential donors how they will improve the investment decision making in future so that such lapses do not occur in future. If they think everything has been done in the best way and they will continue to invest the endowment fund in the future personal adventures-speculations of the board members.. I'll seriously reconsider my decision if I want to remain a donor in this organization..
No case has been launched against the hospital, the management took a wrong decision and lost some amount and that can happen in the most transparent of transactions. We still don't know the exact issue, so what would be the proper forum now for having this issue probed?
suppose some mistake was committed by the board, how can they now apologize? Any action that they take can easily take political turns and result in damaging the institute? So what do you think they can do in the current scenario?

It's a plain and simple case of business loss. The most prestigious institutions like Harvard and Stanford also lost money of their endowment funds when they invested in real estate sector while it peaked and crashed throughout the world. It all happened in the presence of their consitutions that allow only A-grade investments. IK is not a member of the endowment board committee which takes investment decisions and there is always a reason to believe the guy who has been your biggest donor.
If there is anything still any bit good about this country, IK and SKMT are surely two of them. Anyone averse to reality can take an exception. Khawaja Asif has only increased my trust in IK and SKMT.
I wish it has been simple and plain and the sympathizers of PTI and IK are trying to make it...
The money lost in this is not a investment company or money of personal use which if lost is OK or is business as usual, the money is from Endowment fund and i don't think so i need to lay down the practices these kind of funds obeserve to keep the transparency and the profitablity intact.
If the same money have been invested in Ford or Volvo and has been lost, then that is understood and no body might have objected on such loss, but the money was lost in sepuclation, i.e. we buy this land today and tomorrow the price will rise and we will sell it... what kind of business is this??? buying land and selling it at higher prices? this business suits to whom? endowment funds??? no way!! because these kind of funds normally do not indulge in short term activities or investments or in short-sighted capital gain ventures, these kind of funds look forward toward long-term strategic investments where the returns normally are consistent! because the purpose/objective of the fund is to provide a dependable source of income to the charity house.
Now coming to this particular investment, in Muscat, during the time the investment was made, many opportunities were available, that include power, water and heallth sectors, many invesmtment houses and endowment / welfare, govt funds made investments in these sectors, even in the real-estate sectors, the investment done wisely is still paying off, the land and the real-estate projects in Muscat City ( and not 100 kms away from Muscat) have paid good returns, because the rents and the prices have gone up since 2008... and in 2010, they were at their peak... but as i said, this is story of the real-estate investments which are done with care and proper due-deligence... and then there are tens of stories of the scam, where the land worth nothning has been sold to some BVI companies for millions, where the investors in the company had nothing but the land which worth nothing!!!
Now i know this won't be taken easily by the sympathizers of the IK and PTI.. but wrong is wrong!!!
Now, the best way out of this is, instead of showing it loss in the balance sheet and eventually erasing it out of it for good, IK should ask the man to return the money he has been sitting on for 5 years now!!! and 2ndly if the endowment fund is running on public money then the appointment of the trusties should have better mechanism otherwise this kind of things will continue to showon

Even the Kh Asif couldn’t find enough proof for accusing IK for ‘chanda khori’, you and Anwar Pasha will have to wait for any other hint of scandal, till then wipe off the drool

he must be just saying like that, that I will take him to court. no such thing is going to happen. What credbility this guy has, he was lying about his meetings with Malik Riaz. However, It would be good if IK asks for the investigation into SKMT matter, so that everything could become crystal clear and hopefully, such mistakes would not occur in the future.

**TLK is Anwar Pasha restricted again? He was saying this (IK as chandah khor) for a long period of time. No nirala believed him and always made fun of him.
Misuse of endowment fund collected through donations from overseas Pakistanis is an innovative way of corruption and chanda khori. Playing gambling and investment in risky ventures to achieve profits with chandah money is crime. This has brought tsunami to badnami for IK. **

No one has to do anything. Chandah will be going down the drain and he has to carry kashkol and knock every door for collecting chandah and promise people that chandah will never be misused in future:)

Kh Asif has enough proof as niralay are afraid to post his press conference video. People of Pakistan are not fool. International Play Boy had tried to hit sixer with chandah money, but he was bowled out.
