Khwaja Asif is alleging that Imran Khan has laundered 4.5 million dollars through Shaukat Khanum Hospital (he invested money in foreign countries and lost them). This is a serious allegation which could jeopardise SKMH. He has shown the balance sheet of SKMH to the press. Imran Khan should come clean on this.

“In British Virgin Islands, a shell company was first registered. That company transferred money into a company, HBG in Dubai, then HBG bought shares of Sugarland company worth $3 million. During 2009-2010, Sugarland declared losses and in the coming two years, it faced 64% losses. Here, the money of Shaukat Khanum invested by Imran Khan also faced a loss but it was not shown,” Asif said while referring to the documents he had distributed.
The leader mentioned the Double Shah scam and said that Double Shah would at least ask for investments and not for donations, and his business was more transparent than this one. “Imran Khan doesn’t get tired of unleashing allegations against the entire world, but he should first look at himself too.”

This just shows how frustrated PML-N is getting. I think the recent scandal of their pet Hanif Abbasi being booked for quite frankly, illegally selling drugs (Australia and others have been complaining about these shiploads of ephedrine originating from Pakistan), PML-N has become really desperate.
I hope that inshAllah munafiq league will be exposed and dirt will be smeared on kh. Asif's face and people like him. Shame on these people.
PTI should counter with scandals about PML-N and there are soooooo many to chose from.
As for myself, I hate the existing corrupt parties so much (both, the qabar-parasts and the fake hair ones) that I will still vote for immi even if someone shows me a video of Imran pickpocketing someone.

The financial statements are available until 2010 online. Page 46 (pg 23 of pdf) of 2010 report disclosed those investments and it appears they have been acquired in 2007 and 2008 (from the reports of those years). These investments do appear fishy, specially in Special Purpose Vehicles. They don’t have report for 2011 online, and that’s probably where they lost money on those investments (property crash) and it should be interesting to see that one. The auditors have not raised any objections on those, from what I see.
Legally, I don’t think there is any problems with SKMTH investing in property and such ventures. Out of a balance sheet footing of Rs.4.4 billion and annual donations/zakat of Rs.1.4 billion, Rs.212 million investments it not a big deal anyways. NGOs and NPOs regularly make such investments for potential capital gains. Interestingly, Shareef Medical City has taken off their financial statements from their website.
Politically, it should be interesting. Fun times ahead.

A little matter related to common sense. If at all this was a shady deal, why would it be added to the financial report of SKMH?
Imran just finished his press conference, and though he didnt go into too many details, it did seem sufficient. He did answer the main accusations of Kh. Asif regarding 'benami' transaction, and the source of the funds. Long story short, Kh. Asif is not to blame. Hes answering the call of his masters.
