Re: If this is true then Veena Malik should be banned in Pakistan.
what course of action do you recommend, enigmatic pal? what exactly does "speaking out" entail?
i know the spot-fixers got taken to court, etc. did veena malik violate any laws? if so why has no one filed any lawsuits against her?
instead of saying 'she didn't do anythiing wrong..it's her life' one must admit what she did wasn't right anyway! Esp dragging and mocking our own intelligence...and move on ! But at least SAY she was wrong. There is no point in stripping all details of her itsy bitsy private life or spend time cursing her. But instead of repeatedly saying it's her life, she can do whatever she wants ...know what she did was ethically and patriotically wrong!
or
But at the end of the day just move on...there isn't any point in arguing with each other over someone who wouldn't herself amend her ways...
Re: If this is true then Veena Malik should be banned in Pakistan.
Veenaji is an individual - why is everyone bringing religion into this.
Why are there laws in the West against nudity in public streets, namely the UK? Arent those people individuals too? Aren't they free to do as they please? And those are secular states with religion not intervening in admin matters.
So Veena Malik being a Muslim Pakistani goes posing naked and mocking fun with the ISI tattoo and a granade in her mouth...that to me is quite wrong. Others are free to think whatever way they want. :)
Re: If this is true then Veena Malik should be banned in Pakistan.
at least read completely what I wrote. No where did I mention her REPRESENTING pak or Rakhi sawant representing India. Am just comparing them at an individual level

Agreed with the point re: UK or USA and nudity laws. But I think Veenaji has not broken any existing laws (IMO).
And here is my best counter-argument - I am right, you are wrong!
Re: If this is true then Veena Malik should be banned in Pakistan.
dear southie uncle/auntie..
how can one argue with people ,when basis, on which they are based, are different....
Sigh I agree Nomi ..am not going to argue anymore with Southie or anybody else if Matilda (I am right you are wrong)'s stance is going to be adopted. :p If everybody was an **individual **and not judged Senate candidates in the US wouldnt have their campaigns, politics etc marred by their private sex scandals.
I never opened any thread bashing her or cursing her. When I spotted people saying what she did wasnt wrong at all, that's where I jumped in saying that I think what she did was completely wrong.
It's just like this...I start saying the person who abused the Pope in the Vatican was just expressing his/her opinion and had an individual right to do so! Esp when I don't even belong there and am not aware of the sentiments of the people attached to Catholic Church.
Re: If this is true then Veena Malik should be banned in Pakistan.
Do some people have a flawed sense of what "nudity" entails? Veena is covering all parts that a swim suit would cover up and that is allowed in the west. No one would be arrested for walking around Toronto wearing a bikini.
AND I really, really don't understand how controlling female sexuality leads to world harmony.
Finally, the concept of "right" and "wrong" is sometimes subjective. What I may view as "right" or within "someone's right to do" someone else may not. Which is why I don't think what Veena did was wrong. Her choice... If people choose to shun her from society, that's their choice.
Re: If this is true then Veena Malik should be banned in Pakistan.
Remember: one woman's sexuality gone awry = everybody's izzat looted in broad daylight.
.
Tum sahi kahut ho, Chaibiskut behanniya. Yeh hamaray muhallay...nahin pooray desh ki ijjat's ka maamla hai. That said, we should grab our sotis/pitchforks....and go after that Veena. It is only then that we will be able to sleep soundly at night. Thank you for showing me the memo...i mean...the light...and restoring my nationalistic pride and imaan. I will not be a Pakistani or a Muslim until I see the nation rid of her.
