I find it amazing and disturbing that we are condmening BB and the govt for this and saying that they should not have doen this if they knew there was a chance that this would have happened. Two points. Firstly shouldnt we be pointing fingers at those who perpetrated this crime. Just because they threatened us should we give in. Tomorrow if someone comes to your house and threatens you that dont leave your home or he will harm you , will you put your life on hold and give in to him? Secondly, if we give into these terrorists than tomorrow nothing will happen in our country because they will issue threats everywhere and we will just give in to all their demands. Is this what we want to do? What if they say we will blow up the parliament or the SC if these institutions are not closed. Can we give into such blackmail. You give in once you lose out. We have to stand up to these scums and tell them that they are not going to bomb us into submission, Inshallah we will prevail and send them to hell where they deserve to go. Give them an inch and they will be all over you, remember Lal Masjid. Think positively.

Instead of blaming Benazir, the real question is, why did the government impose lax security measures when they knew her life was under a threat? Saying she shouldnt have done this makes no sense since shes a political leader, and this is what her career thrives on, she just could not have made a discreet entry. If the 'sindh' government was so concerned about the law and order and traffic situation of karachi why didnt they ban her entry like they did with Imran Khan?

There is no such thing as 100% security especially in a large gathering like in the one in Karachi yesterday. Therefore the politicians also need to excercise restraint for the benefit of their supporters if nobody else.
Besides we don't know who was behind the attacks. It could be anyone including national and foreign agencies. Everyone has their own agendas. Trying to lay the blame on a segment could be what the people behind the act want us to do. There are people that carry out the attacks and there are people that plan or order the attacks. Its easy to identify the operatives but difficult to identify the masterminds. It slightly strange that the agencies knew that there was going to be an attack yet could not apprehend the operatives behorehand.

You know what I want to know? I want to know all those people who, on THIS FORUM, have been mongering for "democracy" and want to get rid of "Musharraf" and the "Army", etc etc and who were actually ASKING that Benazir come back - where are you NOW?

She's going to do such a sathyanaas to the country. She's only been in the country one day and look what's happened.
The next 6 months will be nothing but sheer entertainment. Pakistani people had a good leader and a good government and they ASKED for Benazir to come back, because they were sick of Musharraf. By the time she's done with her tamashay, people will be denying they ever wanted Musharraf out of power.

Thats the nature of politics....every leader has a shelf live. The tragedy is that Musharraf has not put a system in place to weed out these failed leaders from the political scene of Pakistan. So long as these failed leaders remain on the scene fresh leadership cannot emerge.

If somebody threatens your home you act more cautiously. You just don't do things which make you more vulnerable....50 years ago there was no security at the airports. You can't question the the neccessity of giving priority to security concerns....you can't provide these soft targets to terrorist and later blame everything on the government,,,
We are talkinging loss of close to 140 lives, which could have been many more, and this loss could have been avoided easily....BB should have acted cautiously under the circumstances and she is directly responsible for these deaths...

And what about those who actually carried out this act, are they to be blamed or not? So tomorrow we should not hold any elections becuase these guys might blow up rallys and polling stations and it will bethe fault of the politicans and the govt not the terrorist. Might as well surrender to them now.

We should not hold rallies in a manner where this kind of loss of life can occur....there are new forums of expression available now for instance television where you can reach out to a much bigger audience...This kind of vulgar display of power without consideration to people's safety is a shame>>>>

We have no control over terrorists. We can make their life difficult but someone somewhere will get through the net.
The politicians if they know they are going to be targetted can take precautions to avoid loss of innocent lives. If they show no concern for the lives of their supporters for the sake of cheap publicity then that is recklessness. Before she came to Pakistan she asked for armour plated car, and extra security for herself. It seems that these leaders value their own lives more than their supporters.
The events of yesterday put publicity shots before the welfare of the people.

No matter what, she cant screw up as bad as Musharraf did. There are alot of hickups which lead to the fact that the Government was either clearly involved in this crime, or they were negligent of the security. Im not surprised because the Govt did back in may use their 'karachi' allies to shed blood, so I dont buy the nonsense that they wont stage such an attack to please their real masters, and we know who they are too.
