to be quite honest given the current world XI lineup it is very hard for me to support this team. I say C'mon Aussie C'mon....Aussies shall win!

Kallis is the best all rounder on this globe at present. He can bat well and he can act as a "strike" bowler if required. He is much more different than Inzy and has upperhand in bowling.

Yes, both Kallis and Inzy average in the 30’s versus Aus but Kallis has taken 22 wickets against the Aussies compared to Inzy’s zero.
Verdict: Kallis is a better choice against Australia. Also keep in mind you can’t compare Kallis and Inzi. Kallis comes at number 3 and Inzi bats at #5 in tests. Inzi’s direct competition is Sachin, Dravid or Lara and as mentioned earlier they all average in 50s versus Aus.

Sachin? consistent? okay mr-symonds, go look at the stats for match winning innings of these four. Lara, Dravid, Sachin and Inzi and you wil find that other three are well above SAchin Tendulkar who has seldom played a match winning test innings.
Okay sir, you sound like world XI selector who went for reputation rather than form. Kallis’ bowling has gone off the boil since a while. Take a look at his bowling record and you will see that he no longer is an allrounder. The best allrounder in the game currently is Flintoff and he is head and shoulders above rest of the stock.

I just watched Espn's sports center hosted by Wasim Akram. He was absolutely livid with world XI selector and he also invited Sunil Gavaskar and Sunil was just clueless against Wasim's simple questions regarding Sachin v Inzi inclusion. He also talked with Inzi and Phone and Inzi was rightly disappointed and disheartened with this.
Wasim asked Gavaskar about why Sachin was picked ahead of Inzimam (A recent comparison was shown) and Sunil said well we also looked at his previuos record against Australia to which Wasim said that you just said that preference was given to recent records while selecting players. Gavaskar thought for a moment and said that Sachin can also bowl and take wickets thats why he was picked. Wasim Akram immediately said well according to Sachin he cant bowl because of his fitness issues, he cant even hold his bat. Sunil then went on defensive that we know people will disagree with our choice but everyone must have own world XI in mind.
So basically Wasim was simple and sweet enough in getting him hinting that Sachin was basically picked because of his star value rather than recent form or records
Inzi asked what a junior player like Greame Smith has done to achieve the captaincy as he has never played against them. He said there were deserving candidates like Lara and Vaughan pointing out that during Vaughan's captaincy England has reached new heights and his record against Australia in Australia speaks for itself. (Inzi might be slow and he might say 'Boyz' but he sure knew what to say then)
I dont agree that Vaas shold have been picked for test XI but he was an okay choice for one dayers.

Go look at the innings in which Inzy (and some others) have destroyed the efforts of our bowling just to take the glory away from some players.
Tendulkar plays for his team and yes, he is much much more consistent than Inzy throught his career. He might have not won as much matches for his country as others might have won. But he has never under-performed to declare some players un-fit.
Kallis is still a much better option. He can still bowl and he can deliver with his bat. He is a player who is compareable with Ponting in batting and yet he can deliver as a strike bowler.

"Rest of the World" is selected based on facts and figures. I am supporting them, whether they win or lose. Like always, Aus will find it hard to face "the Actor: Shoaib".
It was much more fun if Inzy was there to lose his wicket for scores like 0,3 ,6. :)

OK i am not sure what you meant but dont you ever again call me a critic of shoaib or else i will kick your butt. And also being a fan of shoaib doesn’t mean that your are anti inzi or vice versa. I am a big fan of both of the players
Also don’t give me this crap that inzi was excluded on the bases of facts. Because the fact is the inzi can kick any bowlers butt any time with his current form where as the biggest overrated player sachin tenda can get his butt kicked by any bowler with his current form.

I think it is very sad that inzamam-ul-haq is not included in the world squad...
he is one of the match winner....
the innings which he has played in karachi against aus. where
inzamam and mushtaq ahmed made 50 odd runs for the last wicket was
awesome...
out of his 22 centuries 16+ times pak. have won the match...
pakistan captian is also 6th in LG ICC test ranking
but now he is not even included in the team...

Yes I am a big fan of both too.
If Shoaib is an actor then Inzy is a "bigger" actor, however.
Inzy is better than any other batsman when he is delivering. Overall Tendulkar, Dravid and Lara are much more consistent players than him. This is a fact and even I admit it.
Inzy was supposed to be in the squad based on his current form and based on the current form of Tendulkar but he is not there. On the other hand Tendulkar's career is better than that of Inzy, so that must have counted a lot.

Akram is zee maaan…absolutely rocks…as always Akram has demonstrated his complete professionalism and principled view of life.
I totally agree with Akram, Inzi in current form was the automatic choice for selection, but totally disagree with whinny Inzi on his bitchhing of not being made captain. Lara sud hv been cap for both teams.

Vaas and Shaibee are not comparable, instead of reaching for smart shaibee snipes we sud look at the real undeserving players ie Pollock, Nitni.
Vaas is a terrific bowler and definately better than Pollock and Nitni, add to that he is left arm which world11 lacks. SA is genuine fast and recent Ozzie weakness against real pace makes sense for his selection.
Tendu has always been Gavaskers favorite and its his star appeal which gave him the edge, having said that he was not competing against Inzi. If anyone its Lara and Dravid who play at the same spot. Of the two, Lara is definately the right choice while Dravid's selection compared to Inzi can be debated, I wud have chosen Inzi.
Ozzi's do not care about Paki supporters, I will always stand behind the desis...so go World-11 go....:)

do you actually follow cricket or just go online on cric info every time when there is a match. Tendi has a brilliant past record and yes better than inzi but currently inzi is playing far better cricket. You just don’t pick players on the basis of their past records knowing that their recent performance is total SH!T and it will get worse with time. If you care to see him batting then you would know what i am talking about.
You know there are other players as well with impressive credentials and career records against aussies like gavaskar miandad etc, but you dont pick them up because of their past record. What good is your past record if you can’t perform at the super series. And with current form of both the players anyone can tell who is more likely to perform and score.

We are talking about current players, not the ones who have retired. Tendulkar is still represtenting his country as is Inzamam.
Current form does not matter in many cases as well.
Shoaib was forced to be “Not Fit” for a year and he was not able to take part in games. This is an era of media dominance, and every one knows whats actually going on. Shoaib was picked in the squad as he was labeled and forced to sit away from cricket, otherwise he is a quality player.
