i met Imran Khan...i asked him a question...and i am Dissapointed :(

bibi.. you are free to have these thoughts, so long as you dont attribute them to Newton, that is the part where people will try to correct you.

anyway, good on you for asking questions with confidence :k:

:bummer:

Lots of times. I have asked him questions at various gatherings so many times, that he can now identify me, though that does not matter. The first time I asked him a question was back in 1993, when he was addressing our school in regards to a Shaukat Khanum Fund Raiser. I asked how he plans to be financially viable as far as SK is concerned, since a report at that time showed a higher proportion of poor people have cancer. He came up with a brilliant and well thought of answer. He had researched Sheikh Zayed Hospital pretty extensively in Lahore, and based is answer on that. Its been over 15 years now, and Imran has proven his hospital is financially viable.

Re: i met Imran Khan...i asked him a question...and i am Dissapointed :(

ravage, bachi ko tung na ker, aapkay ghar mai koi biwi nahi jhagRa kerne ko?

I was referring to zobia's statement that a human being and their emotions are always in momentum, not the one associated with the first newtonian law. When an object is completely at rest, the momentum is zero. Momentum = Mass x Velocity, as far as I can remember.

I am not discussing physics, point is simple, if you are not a physicist, its best to avoid inaccurate references to physics because the question looses it appeals. I am no experts philosophy and arts, but if someone trying to explain the former to me makes incorrect references, I'd get a better tutor.

Ill leave the physics aside…

As for meeting Imran, Ive met him loads of times. A few months ago I traveled with him coincidentally on the way back from London and have nothing but praise for him. All he lacks is the resources to make his party mainstream.

ghar mai biwi agar pathan ho to jhagra kahin aur karna chahiay

Re: i met Imran Khan...i asked him a question...and i am Dissapointed :(

AQ, i thought I will not hear from you again in this thread again, but alas I am wrong like always. I have written like this what you said above for ten years, I tried to make his party infrasture in mere 5 months I was taking care of my sector where nothing existed, I even brought him a lot of donations through different people who think like you, but you have to a sense how a leader is doing or could and can do in the past, preent and future. But after all you are bald eagle (are you are bald?) and I am a Wiseman. Take care.

lol. bakol shadi-shuda-newton "for every shareef shoharana action, there is an exponentially explosive biwi reaction".

Re: i met Imran Khan…i asked him a question…and i am Dissapointed :frowning:

WOW … so here every one is still sitting and waiting for a miracle to happen. I don’t think so. Every action WILL and SHOULD have an opposite reaction. Some people call it Karma and some ‘Aamaal ka Anjaam’. I think its insane to expect Oranges over an Apple tree.

Good bless Pakistan :jhanda:

that is what you think i wasted that opportunity...i wasnt looking for an answer.
cuz i know the answer.

i only wanted to see how deep of a thinker he is.

lemme as as u the same question since u r a mature uncle...why we dont deserve a corrupt leader?

Re: i met Imran Khan...i asked him a question...and i am Dissapointed :(

mature uncle... ufff

ashtray dont take that lying down

Re: i met Imran Khan…i asked him a question…and i am Dissapointed :frowning:

i strongly sense that Pakistani Politics havent sense their Pakistani ideology...so would you care to reveal why you have joined swami shahbaz sharif party?

what is their statute, or their motto?

well i can see that k “is umer main aisa he kamzoor nazar ata hai”

o uncle to app k khial main…or main nay kia poocha tha IK say :smack:

Re: i met Imran Khan…i asked him a question…and i am Dissapointed :frowning:

you asked him

“AOA sir, my name is zobia.
Acc to Newtons third law of motion every action has an opposite and equal reaction. so sir as a Pakistani nation hum main aisi kon si boraee nahi hai jis ki basis per hum ko corrupt leaders na milay?”

na mujhay salam kia, na sir khaha, kya mai shakal se hi hindu chamar lagta houN? :bummer:

 Bat swal ki nahi greeting ki ker rahy hu:cb:

Re: i met Imran Khan...i asked him a question...and i am Dissapointed :(

I only read the first post, and then glanced at some of the replies. Not sure if I missed any thing important.

Anyway.

Zobia, I agree with you. Its actually a very common phrase I use in my arguments too. "A nation gets the leaders it deserves". We (those on Gupshup) are mostly educated people. And when we are discussing politics, people here (and in real life) often starts complaining oh how corrupt Zardari is, how bad PPP is, Nawaz Sharif is just a corrupt moron, PML-Q are lotas, they are all bad for the country etc etc.

Yes. Yes. Yes. And yes.

But these are the people our nations votes for. Again and again. So voters see in them something, which we, the highly educated and intellectual expatriates, do not see. May be we are just way too over-qualified to properly analyze Pakistani people and Pakistani politicians.

Snobs. Snooty. Elitist. All these things are what come to mind, when we declare "we know best, and the people of Pakistan are idiots!". :)

Anyway, not sure I really understand what Imran Khan replied to your question. But the way you framed the question, he can't really call himself a moron for trying to be a leader of a country full of half-brain, moronic voters (the kind that again and again give votes to chor, dakoos and loterays).

Anyway, the above is mostly tongue in cheek. My belief is that we have to be patient. Keep faith in the democratic process. It takes many years and many elections before the crap is cleaned out and decent leadership emerges. People will clean the system of thiefs. It just takes time. Our problem is that we lose patience very quickly and start looking at the military (or whoever), who come in, halt the democratic process, and then restart it a few years later, and we are back to square one.
