I feel ashamed...

…real ashamed! :frowning:

Why do Muslims have to be so ****ed up? They’re at it again trying to blow up innocent people in Glasgow and London.

I feel so much shame I wish I’d shrivel up and disappear or the ground would swallow me.

All our lives our Faith was synonymous to Good, our sanctuary and source of comfort and now these terrorist *******s who call themselves Muslims are tarnishing it.

The Islamophobes are having a field day and have got another good excuse to bash everything that we hold dear and which means more to us than ourselves, all thanks to these mother-lovers who think they’re kamikaze style warriors because they kill innocent people.

How hard is it for them to understand that killing innocent non-combatant civilians (or even oneself) during war-Jihad is not allowed in Islam? They are tarnishing the concept of Jihad, which is actually a very noble thing if understood and practiced properly.

I admit American Army and British Army are doing exactly the same (under the false facade of ‘greater good’) and killing innocent Muslim civilians in Iraq, Afghanistan etc. I admit America created and supported tyrants like Saddam Hussein in Muslim countries and then used them and lied about WMD (that didn’t exist) as an excuse to invade Muslim countries out of lust for oil-wealth and imperialistic desire to colonise and control Muslims and their resources, I admit America shamelessly supports the terrorist state of Israel which treats the native Muslim (and Christian) Palestinians like second class citizens, persecutes them, murders them, steals their land, belongings, resources, and blocks treatment/medicine to Palestinian babies thereby killing them to get back at some political/militant party which those babies are not responsible for, we all know about Americas double standards…

….I’m not afraid to say that the Western governments are no angels but Muslims can’t and stoop down to their low level, they are demons but that gives Muslims no right to kill innocents, Western Non-Muslim civilians are not responsible for Muslim suffering, they can’t be punished for their goverments’ crimes, harming them wont help Muslims it will only make it harder for Muslims… The plight of Muslims angers us all but tarnishing the image of our Faith will do no good, murdering innocents isn’t going to stop the suffering of our brethren. Jihad is a noble thing so it shouldn’t be tarnished by comitting terrorism in it’s name, a true Mujahid is a gentlemen, a saint soldier, he stands up for himself, his religion, the weak and the oppressed but he doesn’t murder innocents babies and grannies.

I’ve heard the “they (westerners) pay taxes to their governments that persecute us so they’re liable” argument from some nut on cnn, that’s bollocks, westerners have no choice but to pay taxes, otherwise they’d have no where to go. A lot of westerners are anti-war and those that are not are only that way because they’re brainwashed with fear, it’s not their fault, western civilians are not responsible for our suffering, they’re our neighbours, countrymen and friends and except for a few ignorant ones like BNP types the rest of them feel for us, just the other day a young girl in town handed me an Anti-War demonstration leaflet..

I seriously don’t know who to hate more those that call themselves Muslims and tarnish Islam’s image with their hideous deeds or the Islamaphobes who justify their crimes to **** Muslims deeper, I’m seriously stressed and depressed because of all this, my neck hurts, my chest hurts on the left side and I physically feel sick.

When will this end? Will it ever end? I miss the days when Islam was a regular religion, nobody hated us, I miss the days when peoples complexion didn’t change on finding out our religion and we didn’t have to explain to them that we’re not going to blow them up, the days when our non-Muslim classmates visited our Mosque and the Imam’s son taught them ablution and we took photographs in the prayer hall.

I’m sick of being hated and the religion I hold so dear despised by people, all I want is to get on with everyone regardless of their religions.

Thanks for listening guys, I needed somewhere to vent. I’m not very good at talking in real life, I can babble on to people about random bull**** but not my feelings.

Re: I feel ashamed...

Look, keep being a good example and when ppl r frustrated
try to talk about things instead of ignoring or going in defensive mood.
Kindness and tolerance are key-words.
You have a strenght that being understanding and ability to relate to both sides.....
It hurts me deeply when ppl are awarded for being anti-Islamic in their writings or being. Islam is a choice and Islam is not responsible for the acts of moroons, hypocrites or fanatics.
I can disagree with policies, but it doesnt give me the right to kill civilians....

Thats the beauty about net, you can share as much as you wish.

Dont take the load of others upon you. You know, a true Muslim is the sort who can control over himself...... Its all begins yourself.

When will this end? Will it ever end?

It will end when people like you will refuse to be held hostage by tiny but radical class that has hijacked our religion.

*I feel ashamed... *
Well you shouldn't be....try concentrating on positives. Seek knowledge, teach to others, do voluntary work, help your community and your neighbours, instead of condemning yourself and others for no reason.

Re: I feel ashamed...

the best way is to show that British Pakistanis are proud Britishers...

which means cheering for the British team when Pakistan plays England in Cricket, flying the Union Jack from your houses, distancing yourself from Extremists, condemning terrorism, and not using the British nationality only when it comes to getting Visas but actually respecting it.

Re: I feel ashamed...

hail britannia!!!!!

Re: I feel ashamed...

excuse me.

Re: I feel ashamed...

I think you missed reading the very first post in this thread.

Re: I feel ashamed...

No, I didn't.

Re: I feel ashamed...

I am ashamed of the terrorists actions. At the same time, when the IRA was active did the English dismiss every Catholic as a terrorist?

What makes me more uncomfortable is although conservative westerners always showed their distaste of Islam I thought the liberals were more accepting but if you go to the discussion areas on the Guardian website for instance you see that the liberals openly detest our views and beliefs. How this has changed is that in the past the liberals only expressed their distaste for Islam in private, whilst on the outside claiming they are all for equality etc. At the same time they have always been more accepting of other faiths such as Buddhism and Hinduism which they view as less of a threat, if you can put it like that.

I don't have any answers for what you wrote but I feel the same way in many ways.

With regards to supporting the English cricket team etc that was the opinion put forth by Norman Tebbit (I think) the conservative politician during the time of Thatcher's govt. It is rediculous, you can still be proud of the Pakistani team and be a good English citizen. It was rightly ridiculed at the time.

The Union Jack has been a symbol of the far right groups such as the National Front (previously) and now the BNP. Even many white English people are uncomfortable flying the Union Jack. I would never wave it.

On the point of condemning terrorist acts, the Muslim community has repeatedly done this but our condemnation never reaches news headlines. How many times must we condemn these acts? We have done it a million times.

When English people go abroad they never lose their English ties, for example they live in small ex-pat communities in Spain, never learning Spanish or mixing with locals. They have a nerve when they tell us we aren't intergrating when it's a complex issue and not as simple as us refusing to drink in the pubs with them.

Sorry to go off on a tangent there.

Re: I feel ashamed...

This isn't any more fkd up then what the representatives of the supposed western innocents are doing all over the muslim world...

Re: I feel ashamed...

I heard that two Indian muslim doctors are held in Australia in connection with this terrorist action in the UK. I understand your feelings - I too am going through the same emotions of being ashamed, hurt and humilated.

I was always so proud of our Indian muslims - that too from Bangalore, which is known for its secularism.

Hope its a false alarm.

Re: I feel ashamed...

What ... no denials? No, conspiracy theory? No it was CIA, who hired a bunch of jokers to give British Muslims a bad name? Comeonnnnnn!

Re: I feel ashamed...

The reality is setting in. Islam's greatest enemies are Muslims themselves.

Re: I feel ashamed...

i strongly oppose extremism no matter in what form it exist, and those ignorant & corrupt people who r doing it at the name of religion r simply maligning islam and other peace loving muslims .............................. with recent incident in UK i feel sorry & worried about the future of muslim doctors + medical graduates who r striving hard to persue career in UK , cuzz due to the current situation they would definitely be prejudiced

and this isn't the first or last time that this is happening

.............. but still world's sympathies r with them ............. lucky westerners

Re: I feel ashamed...

Terrorist attacks by muslims = no reason?

Re: I feel ashamed...

Thanks God no one died in these attacks. But Whoever did it is a Kaafir.

Re: I feel ashamed…

u have to understand that it is all an American/British made facade.. there’s no such thing as the war on terror. it’s all a bunch of BS. notice how every prominent terrorist has been trained by the CIA at sum early time :bummer: u shudn’t be ashamed.. be proud of who u r and try to set a good example. Pray that Allah open up the hearts of the ignorant and give them knowledge. Whatever is portrayed by terrorists or the media is not the real Islam. If the image of Islam is corrupted in the minds of thousands, it is our own doing. We are the ignorant ones, not knowledgeable enough to answer questions abt our faith, it is we who have to fix it.

and u also have to realize that becoz they r muslim terrorists, everything is blown out of proportion. there r extremists in every religion. 3,000 people in 9/11 is nothing compared to the millions that have died all over the middle east. yet they sear this 9/11 crap into ppl’s minds… don’t let them forget it.

Re: I feel ashamed...

At least you don't agree with terrorism. A step forward to your path to become a better Muslim.

Re: I feel ashamed…

First you say there are no muslim terrorists then you say there are muslim terrorists. Which is it?
