Re: I don’t think its meant to be…
I see your sincerity and wish you all the luck!
You have invested emotionally into this relationship hope it works out for you.
Though people do not change only Allah changes them.
May Allah open their heart to you. May Almighty protect you & may your man be understanding.
Urgh, GLAD you opted out! I wish I could do so too! Well done on opting out!
ESPECIALLY with the wedding looming up, the MIL is throwing too many tantrums, too many needless complaints- anything her son does the blame instantly falls on me- everytime I call her she is complaining, threatening me that she doesn’t see a future of me and her son together and we will divorce in 6 months- that I should think about it again and again, even when the dates are supposedly set! She even purchased my wedding clothes half heartedly- at our place bariyan dekhne waali hoti hain, SO grand. You didn’t do this for me, you didn’t do that for me, you can’t work, expectations this, expectations that, you’ve to call this person in that family, that person in this family whose cat died for pursa… but when my uncle died, nobody called me or came to see me and actually were forcing us to agree to get married before his teeja or whatever its called!
Even her son doesn’t support me unless I threaten to leave, then the cycle repeats. I’m giving it a final go because I’ve worked so hard for this relationship, and then I will run.
