So, I've read yet a few more pages from Northanger Abbey......and i think Catherine is a TWIT (my new favorite word). Her mind is like a Bollywood movie or soap opera....coming up with the most ridiculous and fantastical ideas that defy all logic and common sense. Her corset is too tight......little oxygen is traveling to her brain. She has trouble reading people even when the signs are in front of her face. The book and plot is interesting, however i find the descriptions of the abbey and its various rooms a bit tedious and yawn-inducing. I have not finished the book yet. Catherine can finally see that Isabella cheated on her brother and it seems she will will soon be reunting with Isabell. Although I have not finished the book, I prefer the sharp wit and clever mind of Elizabeth Bennet from Pride and Prejudice to Mr. Darcy. I think Mr. Darcy is very sexy by the way.......and Collin Firth makes a good Darcy. And Henry Tilney from Northanger Abbey is not bad either.
Although I don't think that Elizabeth Bennett and Henry Tilney would have gelled well because they are **both **quick witted and sarcastic........they'd but heads too frequently to ever form a relationship.

Although I have not finished the book, I prefer the sharp wit and clever mind of Elizabeth Bennet from Pride and Prejudice to **Catherine from Northanger Abbey. **Lizzie Bennett is a woman who can survivie alone if she had to in this cruel cold world. Catherine, on the other hand, due to her naievety would be DEVOURED.

Im so tired today...finalized caterers and realized I can eat just as much as my fiance...lol. I was very happy with the day's work though. We found a mutual connection to take us to the restaurant I wanted food from and he helped us SOOOO much! Im getting an amazing menu for dirt cheap. The restaurant owner asked me to name MY price and he said he would do it without even arguing. He's also throwing in a bonus...I get a full sweet table instead of just one dessert! All this because we know a childhood friend of the restaurant owner. We ate like pigs and tried the whole menu today and the man didnt charge us a cent, in fact he packed us some to-go so my dad could taste it at home. I tried so hard to pay and sent him in with money, but they refused to take it. Such nice people...made my day RV.

That's great, PSquared. So, its one of many things that can be crossed of on your wedding to-do list. And how relaxing to know it was taken care of with little hassle:) Now u can quickly move on to the next thing that needs attention. See, it's all coming together. The advice notes idea for the mehndi sounds great, go for it:).

I havent heard Dido, will google it today and listen to it. But Savage Garden was a craze I will never forget! Sweet memories.
yeah, i listened to Savage Garden several times today as well, LOL. I think these out-of-the-blue cravings for past songs (that aren't played on the radio anymore) are like a virus.....u have to listen to it.....in order to get it out of your system.
Have u seen the movie, Love Actually? It has Hugh Grant, Kiera Knightly, Collin Firth, etc. The movie is about several different relationships.....and the cool thing is that all the people in these relationships are connected to each other. Either they live next to each other, or work at the same place, or are friends....it's a fun movie to watch.
Anyhow the Kiera Knightley story within the movie is a favorite story for most people. See the movie starts off with Kiera's wedding. She's getting married to this black guy. And the black guy (groom) has a best friend (I think he's named Joe). The groom goes to Joe and tells him that his bride will be coming soon, so he (Joe) should make the effort to be nice to her. Joe gives the impression that he HATES kiera, but is being NICE enough to tape the wedding.
Anyhow, Kiera goes through one of the wedding tapes and it's not clear so she visits Joe and asks him if he has a clearer copy. He denies it and tries to get rid of her, but she finds the tape and plays it. As she watches the video, she's happy that this copy is clearer and contains nice pictures of her...........BUT then she notices that the video ONLY HAS Pictures of her and nobody else. And that's when it HITS HER.....that Joe likes her. And she's so shocked, that all she can say is, "But you never talked to me." And he can't say anything to her except "It's a self-preservation thing".....the most popular line from the movie. And as Joe walks out.......the song from Dido plays. It's a slow song called "Resting Here With Me" but a powerful one. Listen to it and tell me what ya think of it.

I don't have a problem sleeping at the moment.. I never get enough as I'm up early for College and get to bed kinda late as I'm up finishing work off.. however, the real problem for me will start in my 1-week break next week, when I'm up watching movies with the family lol & then all having afternoon breakfasts haha. Also it's most likely that I'll be visiting this thread lol.

RV, you're right. So just an update on whats been happening. Ive been drooling on other clothes now even though Ive ordered my bridal already. LOL. Im being greedy!!!
Here is something funny that happend a day or so ago. My family and I went to the Art Institute because its free all of February and after that were starving! So decided to go to Devon to the restaurant where we're getting our catering from, its actually EXCELLENT food! Probably the best on Devon. We get there and the girls in my car (youngest sister and I) get out so fiance can park the car. There was a huge snow bank that would have blocked our door otherwise. We're literally standing in front of the car waiting for him to get done parking when these guys start with cat-calls and whistles. I ignored them and when we turned around to go into the restaurant, these guys started snapping pictures of us!!!!!!!!!!!! Ohmigosh, I was SOOO pissed and he was too. My youngest one isnt married yet and regardless, its just WRONG! He gets in their face and asks to see the camera right now because he knows they shot a picture of us. They (ghetto desi guys) deny it and start to get angry at him and one of them actually looked at me and said something stupid. Oooooooooooooooooooooooooh, you never ever talk to Reha that way! So, I took my sis into the restaurant and then went back and got him too. While I was pulling him away, I swear my blood was boiling and he was getting really mad at them too. We go in and sit down and they do the same on the other end of the place (its tiny). After a few minutes, he gets angry because they're still staring at us and literally lunged across the room at them! Ive never seen him this way! He is SOOO mild mannered, calm and NEVER gets angry. I got up again, yanked him by his arm and talked to him for about 5 minutes loud enough for the guys to hear. I asked him if he wants to take advantage of some ghetto-fabulous, 12 yr old, pubescent boys??? The shop owner came by around that time and threw them out. He calmed down and my parents joined us a few minutes after that (thank God they were riding separately and missed that!).
I later thanked him for fulfilling my dose of desi fights for the year since I hadnt gone to Pakistan Day last year. :)
