Re: Hyrdoquinone
my thoughts hav always been positive. its safe. of course u won't be using it whole life. get the results u want n then use it occasionally for maintenance plus it really works. i recently started it again on my chin area only which is 2 shades darker than rest of my face and even though i miss many days in between i see difference after only 10-15 applications.
Re: Hyrdoquinone
ok...i was gonna get its body clearing milk for my sis as she got pigmented underarms after delievery her baby n its been 2 yrs n they r still dark. But ever since i read about it containing Hyrdoquinone i am not sure if it is ok to go for it esp for a such a sensitive area (underarms).
When i asked the salesperson she said the same that u can use it for 2-3 months n than use their products from other line which is Hyrdoquinone free to maintain the results.
I got more confused cuz some were saying online how after some time the pigmentation probably comes back and worse.
Re: Hyrdoquinone
mabrook- what do you use.

instead of buying any product that contains HQ go for HQ 4% directly. it comes as gel or cream. i hav used it for 3 months in my early 20's. i got excellent results. i did become all gori gori :) once i left it i returned somewat to my previous color. i never experienced any issues. the dark chin that i got was yrs after due to extremely dry weather of calgary.
when u use HQ it reduces the melanin ur skin produce. once u stop it ur body start producing melanin again. u don't get darker. however u do need regular sun cream as ur skin becomes sensitive n chances of sun damage increases. sun damage can causes hyper pigmentation.
@ Nadz n Sana i was using Neostrata's HQ plus gel its a canadian brand i think. it costed me 50 CAD but then i went to pak n got several tubes of HQ(different brand names) for Rs 50 only. ask the pharmacist for 4% n they'll give u. since i'm using it for chin n under eye area only and forget many days in between one tube lasted me a yr lol. i think its fine to use it underarms.
Re: Hyrdoquinone
oh i thought u need a prescription for anything above 2%?
Re: Hyrdoquinone

Well that makes sense but i guess i should ask a doc if its safe to be used for the underarms. Thanks for the help :).
Re: Hyrdoquinone
but HQ is carcinogenic right?
Re: Hyrdoquinone
yehi tu samjh nahi aa rahi
.
Re: Hyrdoquinone
I had seen a documentary about HQs side effect ...as this bleaching fad is most probably found in black women...after waqtching rihanna...and etc..
Re: Hyrdoquinone
Ok but from what i can make out of it, it can be dangerous when it is wrongly used and for a longer period of time. However i am still not sure if i would be comfortable using it for myself or recommending it to anybody else either. I think i wl just drop the idea of buying this stuff cuz i feel uncomfortable with it
.
Re: Hyrdoquinone
Thats the best thing and as mabrook told it has temporary effect right then why risk life for a temporary thing?
Re: Hyrdoquinone
Yup! :)
Re: Hyrdoquinone

its not true. it works either ways. when i used HQ long time ago i never used sun cream as i was not aware of many things then.i also lived in a very sunny country then. it still worked
Hyrdoquinone
Hydroquinone may cause thinning of the skin over time as well as hyperpigmentation in some. I would recommend testing it on a small patch of skin first, especially if you have sensitive skin. And stay away from prolonged use.
