re: -HUMSAFAR-
I watched episodes 21 and 22 back to back.
I didn't think episode 22 dragged, it's a good transition episode to the finale. Khirad leaves for hyderabad without telling her daughter or Ashar. I was thinking she'd at least mentally prepare Hareem that she'll be leaving, but she doesn't. I don't think it would've been easier on Hareem either way, and perhaps she's expecting Hareem to understand when she's a bit older. Sometimes a clean separation is better than an emotionally dragged out one. She had already told Ashar she'd be leaving, and didn't feel it necessary to inform him just when...she probably should've not that he's her husband, but rather the father of her daughter which she's leaving behind, and he'd need to handle Hareem appropriately. The scene when she's crying while Hareem was sleeping was so wondefully done, was very heartfelt. I *almost *cried.
Ashar - Khizar confrontation was in line with Ashar's character which is to act first and think later. He's done that time and time again in this drama, so really not out of character for him to shove Khizar out the door without listening to him. J*ithay di khoti othay aan khaloti.*
Sara and Zareena scenes were so well done. Naveen was brilliant. When she says "mama mein sona chahti hoon" & when she comes back to hug her mom after getting up, you know it's a last goodbye to her mother. She's gone to place of no return. I'm an optimist, and would've really liked to see her in london, pulling herself together slowly, or even getting some psychiatric help would've been nice. Psychiatric disorders are under recognized and under treated in Pakistan, and this just proves that. Sara always had the psychotic/obsessive tendencies, and one attempt of suicide, so her death wasn't completely out of place...it's believable. I for one am glad they did not show her last thoughts before suicide, there's too many gullible people out there, not to mention young kids that watch this play.
Hina Bayat was really good! The post suicide scenes were really well done by her, you really felt for her.
The rain scene, and Ashar reminiscing about his better days with QB's voice and background score!!!! Wah wah. Then he goes searching for the pictures and finally finds that fateful letter which he had conveniently thrown away in the junk (act first think later)....
Fareeda aunty is beginning to go crazy, she's talking aloud to herself to keep herself sane, as no one's really there for her anymore to listen to her, not even her son. You can sense Ashar's strained relation with his mother, after she goes on a rant about Khizar and Khirad and divorce...he doesn't say much. Anyway, her way of announcing Sara's death as "Sara marr gayee hai", yes it could've been a little more tactfully, but given her mindset, she's really falling over the cliff. She's desperately trying to locate her "shandaar" beta, and can't and knows she's about to lose the closest thing to her so her dialogues are a reflection of that. Anyone else agree that Atiqa Odho's facial expressions are a lot more effective than her dialogue delivery? Though I think her dialogue delivery is many times better towards the end of the play than the beginning, and I'm finally appreciating her as the evil selfish heartless MIL. ** Glad they didn't use Saba Hameed, she's done that role way too many times.**
Ashar, the realization, his baybasi, his heartache. Brilliant. He finally cried in a way that seemed real.
Please for the love of God, let the next episode be the final one. I will miss watching this :( I really hope they release it on DVD soon after it's over.
i catched episode of kalajado thought saba hameed should have been fareeda then ( i haD hardly seen any of her dramas anyway) and my mom said the same that she has done this typeof role too much it would not feel special lol
