-HUMSAFAR-

re: -HUMSAFAR-

Definitely a good gesture by Asher but as the saying goes too little too late. Khirad is not being difficult as alot of people are suggesting. She did reach out to Asher numerous times and even Batool Khala called him and he was rude and curt. Fareeda is too blame for what happened but Asher could have attended some of the phone calls...She was not with Asher 24/7. Asher is a Yale Graduate, rich, handsome and basically a good son and husband. He does however have a temper. The scene where he gets upset about the shade loving plants is meant to illustrate this point. Look, you have been with a woman for almost a year and he is madly in love with her. Yes he does witness Khirad's genorosity towards Khizr and that definitely makes him uncomfortable. Couple of points or messages I take from this is if you are married person and your friendship with a person of the opposite sex makes your spouse uncomfortable then please try to stay away from that person as much as possible IF YOU VALUE YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH YOUR SPOUSE. That should be first and foremost priority. Khirad is very intelligent and really enjoys campus life. She enjoys the company of her class fellows. She is rather naive....perhaps she should have picked up on cues. I don't promote narrowmindedness but one should have an idea about what your husband likes and dislikes. Khirad is just and nice person and EAGER TO PLEASE be it MIL, FIL, classfellows. Whatever Asher witness he should have at least had the decency to confront his wife about about it before finding her guilty based on what others said. After almost a year of marriage at least your spouse deserves that much. Yes, Asher now is ready to forgive her and become a family but that is largely due to the love for their daughter. DURING the time they stay under one roof Asher does realize that Khirad is a very good mother. She has done a fantastic job of raising Hareem and dealing with her medical problems alone. He wants her back because he cannot raise her alone. Yes, the dormant feelings he had for her ignite but a big part of it has to do with the fact that he needs her for their daughter. Yes, Asher is a victim of his mother's evil intentions but he is partly responsible for his misery.

In many of the recent dramas like QeT, MZZB, and Humsafar the male leads are so obessed with their izzat and how they have been made zaleel in society because their wives fell for somebody else. In mzzb and Humsafar it turns out to be false accusation. Some communication and trust could have avoided this fate. In QeT, the very last episode Faisal Qureshi says to Savera Nadeem that men who go abroad expect that no matter what they do their wives back home will SAFEGUARD THEIR IZZAT, even if the husbands take a girlfriend and fool around but they expect that the wife that is back home will not harm their name. BIG TIME DOUBLE STANDARDS IN A CHAUVINISTIC SOCIETY. Arfin doesn't even bother to listen to his cousin's side of the story in Mzzb....Yale Graduate Asher is so enraged that even 4.5 years later he can't stand to see Khirad and has to control himself to listen to her 10 minute monologue. All of these men professes their love for their wives...they were gaga for them but don't have the decency to assess the facts before leaving them . So many women continue to live, forgive, and love cheating husbands. However men turn to dust if their wives plays with their izzat. PERHAPHS THIS IS SAD AND DISGUSTING FACT! Remember both husband and wife are the foundation of the FAMILY. If you destroy the relationship of husband and wife then you destroy the FAMILY. Both are libaas for each other.

Now should Khirad jump back into the arms of her RICH, handsome husband? No. He was definitely an ass. Did he even bother to see where his wife of 1 year went? Yes his mother said she ran away with Khizr but she never asked for a divorce in 4.5 years. Did the dude ever wonder where HIS wife who also was FIRST COUSIN WAS? Fine, she doesn't want to be with him and she betrayed him but SHE IS AN ORPHAN! That gorgeous and brillant husband of hers could have made 1 meager attempt to locate her but How could he have? His IZZAT was destroyed and he was busy reeling from shame. Yes, it is understandable to be devasted at the possibility that your spouse cheated but at least make an attempt to hear firsthand from her mouth or confirm the realtiy of this. Any woman with self respect would do act the way Khirad does. HOWEVER, THE BIGGEST HOLE of this story is leaving her daughter with a person like Asher who can be manipulated. Khirad has the tenacity of a lioness protecting her cub yet she decides to love the most valuable thing in her life in the jungle . This is the weak point in Khirad's thinking. I don't think Khirad is egotistical at all. Actually we need women with integrity and courage in our dramas. Saba Kareem of MZZB and Khirad Ahsan are UNFORGETTABLE FEMALE CHARCTERS THAT we will remember for a long time. they are a breath of fresh air from the gold diggers, conniving and dormats that are so popular these in dramas.

re: -HUMSAFAR-

^^Girls dont' play with your husband's izzat! It is like a loaded gun!

re: -HUMSAFAR-

latest i read on fb is tht next epi is not last one there r 2 more left yes so lots of drama expected :)

re: -HUMSAFAR-

:bummer: Dragging is not good.

re: -HUMSAFAR-

yeah but so much is left to show they can show in 30 mins even rushing off is not good

re: -HUMSAFAR-

Their FB status says next episode isn't last. Phew!

I was wondering how they'd rush everything in one episode. We need to see the melodrama between Asher-Khirad, Asher-Khizar, Asher-Asher (hehe), Asher- Fareeda, Sara - mommy ....

One of the fb pages for Humsafar drama says it will be last episode. Don't know which page to BELEIVE. I guess we will did out on Saturday.

re: -HUMSAFAR-

haha maybe one in the Cricket lounge ;-)

Now that they have planned to drag it out to 23 episodes yeah this one is going to hit a 100 pages.

re: -HUMSAFAR-

same here. It would have been cool if they did a long finale episode instead of 2 more epis!

re: -HUMSAFAR-

I think it makes sense to have 2 episodes...but more than that will be a DRAG.....

re: -HUMSAFAR-

All these analyses are making me not want to watch this drama anymore :bummer:

re: -HUMSAFAR-

what 2 more episodes for real ? cool I get too see a bit more humsafar

re: -HUMSAFAR-

I am actually in two minds now... If the next episode is not the last I will be probably going mad that why the F are they dragging it and if its a last one I will be like ''OH EMM GEE I am gona miss humsafar so bad :(''

So yeah I dont exactly know what I want (before boys attack me for being such a ''girl'' haha)

re: -HUMSAFAR-

^I'm in the same boat. I want to see the ending, but I don't want it to end.
I mean after it ends, what am I going to do on Saturday mornings? :(

Superexcitedfornextepsiode.

Sorry you feel that way. But for the record I do want Asher and Khirad to get back together and have played put various scenarios in my head. Really hoping tha director has a super ending in store of us! I am pretty confident they will get together rbut I want Asher to sweat and pay for his blind mistrust. So at the lake scene I definitely feel like Khirad justified for her reaction. The biggest hinderence is Hareem and her safety.

I love the fact that no matter where i went this such a conversation starter. So many people young and old have been watching it. I loved the fact that whenever I went the last few months this was the one way to break awkward silence. Someone would start by saying are you watching Humsafar?

re: -HUMSAFAR-

thts y i didnt read them

re: -HUMSAFAR-

Joining late but loving this drama. I started watching this on Monday... 6 episodes a night and now can't wait for it to be posted online..

There are touches of Khirad and Ashar's doubts which I am sure everyone has felt in their lives and misconceptions born out of stubbornness or other peoples wrong doings.

I love the level of pda in this, not over at all and expressions have expressed a 1000 words

I also love the relationship (genuine) one between Khirad and her mamu..

I want to read the book but the online web pages are difficult to read as urdu isn't my first language. Can I buy these novels in the UK or order them?

re: -HUMSAFAR-

thanks!! are these recent dramas or old ones? i love watching the recent ones for the costumes!
