OH MY GOD Some of u are just soooooooo critical.I loved The show.Fahad as a host was awesome I didn't feel any animosity in fact he made fawad feel comfortable and he started coming out of his shell.Mahira was awesome and v real loved all her answers.Naveen was great too and so was Atiqa.I dont think Atiqa was reserved either she complemented all of them so well which seniors rarely do. Loved the interview and everyone's personality.
ditto

I thought it was funny how the 'modern skinny jeans grey top Sara' had a nice sort of traditional shalwar kameez on, while aunty Atiqa thought it would be great to go on tv in jeans and ghar ki chappal!

I totally agree. I think that the popularity of Humsafar has really surprised the stars as well. No they show has come close in recent years. I suppose it has the popularity of Haseena Moins dramas back in the 80s where the whole country would stay home to watch the drama. Now it's a worldwide audience thanks to YouTube and internet. Heard its really popular in India as well. so in some ways some of them don't want to be typecast or are trying to relish in the fame.

re: -HUMSAFAR-
Brilliant direction of Sarmad. I liked the way he conveyed problems Khirad has to face as a single parent in just 3-4 short scenes instead of dragging that for 2-3 episodes. Wonderful job.![]()
Babar Javed kuch to seekh lo!
re: -HUMSAFAR-
so what is Asher thinking right now...does he still think sh cheated? i very confused.
and why does khirad NOT speak up in front of him, but pours out her heart to Afsheen and the walls. aaaaaaaaaaaarghhhhhh.
Before they end this, Khirad and Asher better have a heart 2 heart where she tells him everything and he tells her :@ :@
i did love the episode and their scenes together. And how cute is Hareeeem.
oh, another question? why did he do NOTHING for like 5 days? and was he at the hospital because someone had a heart attack? or is something else going on ?
If some of this will be revealed later, just ignore me...no spoilers please heheh.
re: -HUMSAFAR-
Yah i don't understand why every time ashar is being so unreasonable and mean why does khirad not say anything to him????? She needs to slap the crap out of him!!
And the scene where khirad and Sarah pass each other was directed so well!
Also what picture is Hareem talking about.
Is it just me ....but i wasn't as impressed with this episode. Terrific acting by Mahira though. I hated the way he meets Hareem....I didn't like the way it was directed. Then again it is very hard when I have child stars involved. Sara who plays Hareem is 6 but she is very talk for a 6 yr old. The little girl is adorable but i wasn't too impressed with the way she meets her father in an alley and Asher immediately
Accepts that this is his daughter.
re: -HUMSAFAR-
ok so toDAY EVERything was rushed they didnt dramtize it well especially father n daughter meeting part n in the novel when khirad came 2 asherz office he in a state of shock couldnt utter a single word n he went 2 hospital 2 meet some other heart patient there he saw her thn he went bck 2 office checked everything tht khirad gave n thn concluded her as her daughter n thn next day he went 2 their house bc khirad went flat when she came 2 his office :( alos i didnt liked hospital scene now waiting 4 next epi i think the 2nd part vl clearly strt from next week these 2 epi were just intro of 2nd part

humsafar parody
re: -HUMSAFAR-
I stayed up until 7AM watching the HUM JPJ Special. They are SO adorable together and Naveen is a BRILLIANT actress. I remember I used to watch her RJ show on AAG and she was always professional and sweet. If a guy caller tried to get zyada "free" she would deal with it calmly and without having to take it so seriously. Really shows that she's really comfortable with herself and has confidence. Oh and I LOVED the bloopers! "Where is the pin?!" was my favorite line, LOL. And I was SO happy to see the insane amount of support that came in. The lady saying "I WANT A SON-IN-LAW LIKE YOU, MAN!" to the kid who went "It's my birthday and I feel very lucky to have gotten the chance to talk to you". I felt SO happy to see that kind of fan following and I hope it grows. It's giving me so much hope about the Pakistani Teli/film industry.
And I am already feeling sad knowing the drama is going to end soon. Also, I wanted a mug/poser/tshirt with all their autographs. =(
re: -HUMSAFAR-
Also, it looked really unprofessional when Mahira pulls out her cell as soon as the credits are about to roll LIVE ON AIR! And Atiqa comes in w/ some chappal and her purse. Um, what?

It shows how proud she is. Explaining herself is beneath her - she was never lying in the first place, so why should be offer an explanation?
re: -HUMSAFAR-
I almost cried when he yells at her in the office, and she pauses. They're such great actors, it's mind-blowing to know Pakistan has such great talent. Mahira really is a 180 from her real-life personality, goes to show how well she acts.
The scenes with the father-daughter were a bit rushed, but i suppose they showed him looking through the documents as acceptance that she is his daughter. Esp the scene where he looks at Hareem's picture... he starts off with a frown and as he stares at the picture, a smile comes across his face. I thought that was well-done.
I don't want this drama to end at all. It's so lovely. It strikes a chord with a lot of Pakistani/South Asians I think bcos we have a culture of arranged marriages, even in present-times. And i think people see glimpses of their own romance in Asher and Khirad bcos of that. It's so every day. It's not Dilwale Dulhania Le Jaynge or Meri Zaat or anything.
Anyways, awesome drama. Really enjoying it.

Lol how observant. Was that her phone? Its hard to tell
Excellent acting by Mahira Khan in this episode! That scene when she's walking into Ashar's office and passes Sarah was priceless!! And the confrontation did not disappoint either! But I agree, after that, the episode lost steam...can't wait for next week!
re: -HUMSAFAR-
a hilarous parody! must watch!! lmao
It is hard to work with child
Stars. It is hard to get them
To act.....there are
Some great child stars but they are a little older...i think the director had trouble working with such a young child. But the confrontation at the hospital is poorly done. I do think it is hard to pull this off with a young child. In thora si waifiyan the child actors were superb. They were a bit older but that is the difficulty of dramatizing a novel with child actors. This part is crucial to the novel.

Good episode,
looking forward to the next one
