-HUMSAFAR-

re: -HUMSAFAR-

^ soooooooo goood!! Thanks for sharing. :)

Can't wait to watch how everything pans out. I am honestly ignoring all the bloopers, because I liked this novel so much.

re: -HUMSAFAR-

story seems just awesum........nd OST...its just adorable...!

re: -HUMSAFAR-

Just watched the second ep. I'm really liking the pacing so far. And what's remarkable is that everyone acts so well with each other that you end up feeling for them all, even if you don't agree with some of them.

Even if this drama has a few cliches (but honestly, which shows don't?), when done well, it can be so enjoyable to watch. And that's saying something because this is the 1st Pakistani drama I've been invested in since I was a kid.

re: -HUMSAFAR-

2nd episode was great, i agree with^ that they all acted so well the expressions and everything is just perfect!! the story is moving forward fast and im soo excited for next week.
Naveen is really doing an awesome job for being a beginner, i honestly didnt expect her to be this good!

re: -HUMSAFAR-

^^ Same here! I did not expect Naveen to act well at all and she's playing Sara so well! You can tell she's a little psycho :-D
I also like how they have expanded on the story and made sense out of things. In the novel, Khirad and Ashar got married and there wasn't much else presented in terms of Ashar's struggle or his mom's to accept such a big shock. I liked how they showed Ashar really trying to come to terms with this new situation and have a very tough time. Great Job Farhat Ishtiaq and Sarmad Khoosat.

re: -HUMSAFAR-

I swear the title song for this drama is amazing and catchy! I'm like singing it in my head all day lol!

re: -HUMSAFAR-

as many said above, everyone’s acting very well…Fawad is doing really good here with the expressions and dialouge delivery so far, definitely has improved at acting :k:

and Naveen is supsprisingly the best of them all, considering that she’s new to acting

re: -HUMSAFAR-

loved the scene btw fawad and behroze, very well directed and acted! a very obvious fact but which most parents overlook, that by marrying into a certain family will automatically ensure a lifetime of security and happiness for the girl regardless of other factors...fawad tells his father exactly that, that despite being his son even he cannot guarantee khirad's happiness for life. unfair to put so much pressure and responsibility on him, one can see his dilemma clearly.

re: -HUMSAFAR-

^^ Yeah I totally agree, that scene was very heartfelt...it's not a conversation that many desi parents have with their children.

I liked the dialogue between Fareeda and Baseerat, when she confronts him regarding his plans, and how he's not disclosed them to her. Both of their characters are grey. Though she's the antagonist, you totally feel for her character because whatever she says is the truth. Meanwhile Baseerat, the protagonist, takes the role of a typical desi husband and threatens her with divorce, just because he can do so. I thought that was very well done.

re: -HUMSAFAR-

song is nice

re: -HUMSAFAR-

Song is really very nice. I think after 'Mera naam hai muhabbat' and 'Mulaqat's OST Mera tujhse kiya rishta hai', it is the most melodious composition by Waqar Ali and Quratulain Balouch (QB) sang that amazingly. QB's rendering of this song reminds me Sunidhi Chohan, for a moment I was confused that it was sung by Sunidhi. Naseer Turabi's poetry is amazing especially the lines:

Adawaten theen, Taghaful tha, Ranjishen theen magar
Bichharnay wale main sab kuch tha bewafai na thi

re: -HUMSAFAR-

Agree DBaaz - I liked how Ashar said very clearly that he cannot guarantee Khirad's happiness either. And that's when Daddy dear used emotional blackmail to make him say yes - tsk tsk - so typical :)
The way Fareeda has been sidelined is bound to build a lot of anger and hatred toward Khirad. I like how all the characters' actions have been so far justified. Well done again.

And yes fabulous job by QB! Even the new dialogue promo with another verse revealed from the OST is great. I wish they would put out the full OST already like they did w/ Mastana Mahi.

re: -HUMSAFAR-

juts one word Beautiful! :)

re: -HUMSAFAR-

While searching some songs for a thread in culture-literature-and-linguistics I came across this song.

This is complete Ghazal of Naseer Turabi sung by Abida Parveen which is now being used as OST of Humsafar in QB’s voice.

re: -HUMSAFAR-

Absolutely loving this drama! The story might be old, but its treatment is so refreshingly new! I love the fact that there are no negative or positive characters as such. Everyone is acting in such a subtle way. A big credit goes to the director.

re: -HUMSAFAR-

I watched both the episodes last night. And it has been a while I saw any Pakistani drama.I am loving this, and have teh OST playing in my head all the time.
Who is the girl playing Khird in it?She looks nice.Is she new?
And it took me a while to recall where I had seen Asher.I saw him in a few episodes of Dastaan.

re: -HUMSAFAR-

^ the girl is mahira khan, originally a VJ, relatively new, recent claim to fame being the movie 'bol'.

re: -HUMSAFAR-

i thought asher and sara were in love with each other. hmmmm

re: -HUMSAFAR-

^ Nope Blessed. Sara's love was always one sided. Asher always thought of her as a good friend because as cousins they grew up together.

re: -HUMSAFAR-

^ yeah thats what i am saying...from the promos it always looked as if they were both in love with each other....but yeh mamla ulta hi nikla.
