am surprised no one mentioned the EPIC blooper where Saba Faisal's character mentions going for an ULTRASOUND (?????) to diagnose her headaches. Its hard enough to forgive a director of Sarmad Sultan's calibre for something so inane but to imagine everyone from the writer to the editors to the actresses all playing their part in playing along with something so incredibly stupid....

yeah I heard that. when she said ultrasound i thought oh she is pregnant...then when her beemari was diagnosed i got a bit confused but then thought shayad is beemari ko detect karne ke kiye ultrasound hi hota hoga. hahahaha

I think in the novel she had uterine cancer? I guess the ultrasound was in reference to that...but in the drama they kept saying she was having headaches so the ultrasound didn't make sense.
Loved the first episode, and since I have read this novel more than once, I am definitely looking forward to see how the actual drama pans out. Glad to finally see some fresh pairing of Fawad and Mahira - i think they look great together!

There was another one when Khird runs into Ashar in the hallway while trying to look for her mamoo's room and he tells her which way to go.
If you've been living at your mamo's place for days/weeks you'd atleast know which exact room belongs to beloved mamoo. I don't know how they let these mistakes go unedited.

actually i thought that was kinda realistic because firstly, they were in the hospital first few days not at home, secondly, goes to show how she has been with her mother in the room all along taking care of her and has not been out too much and lastly goes to show that coming from a small compact home herself, a house that size is a bit too intimidating to remember which room is where, kinda depicted how she must be feeling inside, kinda lost.

agree... I too dont think it was a blooper... it was done well!!
love the drama.... and just cant get enough of the title song and its shairi!!... amazing stuff!!!!
I am seriously tired of the done-to- death theme of using class differences to define characters.
In this drama and countless others including khuda aur muhabbat, umm-e -kulsoom, wealth is equated to all things bad including westernization, low morals/ethics, selfishness, greed, arrogance and aversion to Islam. Poverty is equated to conservatism, high ethics/ morals and basically perfection.
I think the story line of Humsafar would've been fine without atiqa odo's god complex. She could've been potrayed as a mother wanting the best for her son in terms of marrying someone he is compatible with rather than a cousin he barely knows or has anything in common with. Don't see why the writer had to base the mom's reaction to the marriage on wealth-induced-arrogance. Finding that very sterotypical
I really liked sarmad's work in pani jaisa pyar, though I had similar problems with its story line. Hopefully the promos are exaggerating Humsafar and it has a more interesting story line than what appears...........
^ i agree, if they make the drama all about how poor she is and how super rich he is, it'll be a let down, but i think i think it will be more than that...kinda like 'daam' started with the same theme but evolved into something more.

Yes that is one angle to look at this however it just seemed too far from reality. She's been in that house for a few days/weeks. They come to mamoo's house, mother is taken to the hospital, is operated on, is released to go home, and all this time the daughter does not know what room belongs to her uncle? Give me a break. Obviously she didn't just stay in one room alone the whole time she has been there. I am sure she left it to go eat atleast, if not for anything else. If not for every meal then atleast for one meal in all these days. That scene just seemed out of place to me.
Anyway that is how I look at it and I do respect your opinion on the matter as well. :)
