Mahira would have been a good choice. Or they could audition and find someone new. I wonder who does the casting in Mehreen's serials. She keeps repeating same actors over and over. There are so many very fine actors out there who could have played Haniya. Or the roles of Ebaad's mom and dad. But I am afraid she is going to cast that same uncle+auntie pair that I am sick of seeing in almost all Hum tv serials.

Even Sanam Baloch would have been much, much better as Haniya. Or that new girl from the serial Qaid e Tanhai...I don't know her name. Everyone is better than Sarwat. I guess Mehreen has her own vision of the serial.

I agree that he was great in Dastaan and I think it is in large part due to Haissam's direction :) Don't remember much of Satrangi. I think I only watched a couple of epis.
Even though I do not Like Akbari Asghari the drama as a whole. It is a very sad. boring, and tedious attempt at doing comedy but I have to give Fawad props for doing justice to his role. He is playing the paindu annoying icky guy to the core. Whenever I see his character on screen, I go OMG is this the same romantic I saw in Dastaan? To me that is a great actor :) Agree that Sanam is not fit for the role at all....she fails to carry the character properly.

Good to see Sanam Saeed in the list. Sajida Syed is such a BORING mom UFF!! I really liked the mom from Daam. Wish they would have taken her. Wonder which boring character actor will play the dad. I so cannot picture Sarwat and Fawad in a romantic role together. More like bhai behan LOL

For mom they could have cast Atiqa Odho or Zeba Bakhtiyar. Remember, Ebaad's mom is supposed to be very, very pretty and youngish looking in the story?? And I think there are so many fine actors who don't get a chance...for instance there is Rasheed Naz, the actor from Peshawar I think. He is brilliant. (He plays Akbar's role in that Ishq song featuring Emaan Ali). Or there's Firdaus Jamal as well. They should be careful who plays the role of Ebaad's dad because it's a very important character in the story.

But they cast this same boring guy over and over, who is playing Humayun's dad in Neeyat. Honestly, he cannot even act.+ He is the same in all the play, no versatility.

I can’t wait… one of my fav novel.

I love Fawad Khan, so he is perfect for Ashir character.
and i don’t have any doubt in his acting skills.

But for khird… Mahira is not a good choice… Khird was very young and innocent girl and both traits are missing in Mahira IMO. They should have had Syra yousuf as a Khird.

Epi one - Some minor changes from the novel, but the story unfolded at a good pace. Not much of Ashar in this epi, but Khird's character is impressive. Mahira is naturally very pretty, and so far is acting very well!

yeah good intro episode. I think it's better to establish Sara's character because it should lead to giving the story more credibility. In the novel Sara's character was hardly there and her actions did not make a whole lot of sense.

Just watching the drama, the name sound so odd - Baseer, Fareeda, Khirad.... I think I am not used to hearing these names :)

they need to overhaul the end credits ASAP.

OMG i love this drama! I cat wait till Saturday. The direction seems sooo real!

At first i wasn't really interested in the drama but i dunno how i just love it!

I like the name Khirad, sounds different.

Yes i totally dislike Akbari Asghari the whole drama seems like a flop, feel sorry for the chosen actors and actresses.

Oh yeah btw would anyone know where i can get the novel in English?
