re: -HUMSAFAR-

Did you watch it on TV or Youtube? Because I just watched that scene in episode 7 on youtube! Loved all the scenes between K & A

re: -HUMSAFAR-

I didn't see the "batameezi vs. outspoken" scene in the fuzzy version. Have to watch the HQ version and do my repeat telecast ;-)

A couple of things to point out in this epi -

I think they show Asher's weakness at the Sara b'day scene where he does not come to Khirad's aid while the girls are mocking her. I would think a good husband would have come to his wife's rescue at that point. Yes later on he did get upset at Sara but I think it was a little late.

I wish Mahira would have emoted a lot more during the post-email/sofa scene. Fawad was very expressive there with his dialogues whereas I found Mahira was struggling to emote in that scene.

re: -HUMSAFAR-

really?? never came across a guy like him ...
but yeah maybe they do ... :(

re: -HUMSAFAR-

thanks so much dear and ameen to your prayers! :)

re: -HUMSAFAR-

I can't bring myself to watch it knowing that it has a sad ending. But I did watch episode 6 and loved it. I think it is ace on so many levels:

-it's not OTT/filmi where the idea of 'romantic' is portrayed to be the guy singing songs in middle of nowhere or doing ridicluous things like laying the path with a million roses..you get the idea
-it's simple and shows the beauty of the mundane, things normal folks can relate to. Some of the scenes remind me of dhoop kinare where the idea of less is more is definitely doing the trick.

re: -HUMSAFAR-

Also Asher could have said something in the car about the incident but instead he did some tareefein of Sara and asked Khirad if they should go somewhere to eat. :smack:

I suppose Mahira didnt emote much in the sofa scene because she wasn’t given any meaty dialoges like Asher!

re: -HUMSAFAR-

I disagree with the above comments, both the quoted and the reply. I think that Asher was prudent to not interfere. It allowed him to see how she deals with such a situation , after all they are getting to know one another. Secondly, should he come swooping in, she would feel "handled" , like he doesnt trust her to conduct herself well enough in his gatherings. She handled herself gracefully

However he DID notice and he DID do something about it in the car. He tentatively tested the waters, he knows she has a lot of pride/self respect. He found that out when he overheard her conversation with his dad in some earlier episode. He didnt want to hurt it. He opened up a topic and based on what she was willing to share ("did I not dress properly?") he did away with her qualms in a lovely and caring manner. And took her out beyond that (offered to at least) so that her night would get better.

re: -HUMSAFAR-

i agree wth u demesne :)

re: -HUMSAFAR-

Very valid points Demesne! Definitely a different way of looking at it. :)

I would have thought he would have offered her support while Sara was being ridiculous.

re: -HUMSAFAR-

He handled Sara alone as was correct. Again, this shines a light on the realism and the prudence with which the characters are handled in this drama.

re: -HUMSAFAR-

Another great episode!

Funny tidbits : "zarday ki daig" and something along the lines of "sharma liya ho tou chalein?"

I like the confidence with which Asher says to her "kyoun kiya tum mujhe miss karo gi" when she asks him to come back sooner from his trip.

They finally did the plant scene!

At Sara's bday party...when sara is taking her upstair to show her the house...Khirad looks back at Asher...and she has this look on her face..full of gilay shikway...like why did you bring me here?

The ending was rather abrupt?

re: -HUMSAFAR-

I believe these lovely ladies are more interested in Ashar’s pictures than Mahira but I’ll take these without any chun-charan

Such a lovely episode.... Made me smile. Fawad is doing a immensely great job.... Even i was feeling shy and melting watching the sofa scene... !!! I wanna see the rain scene with Khirad dancing in it while Ashar is watching her.....

re: -HUMSAFAR-

yeah I felt the same way that she was trying to say "help me" but with Mahira not really having a range of expressions, it did not come across that well.

I think the ending was supposed to be abrupt so people can go OMG what happened :D

re: -HUMSAFAR-

HAHAH decent you are right! ... next time im posting Ashers photos for these lovely ladies! :D
