Ladies…if you guys know anyone with personal experience with the the designer’s clothes..i need information regarding price ranges..material quality and work.
i have looked around and i think i might go with his stuff…but i need someone with personal experience who can let me know the inside stuff…like how to bargain…i know people from abroad get ripped off like hell…
i want to get a dress for my rukhsati…something that i can wear later on…not too heavy…but not too simple…

so how long does it usually take for them to make the dress...a month...?? i wanted to go to bargello..but they are in karachi...and i dont know anyone there..so we ll probably be going to Lahore...for the shopping...

i emailed them once for a dress the price for it was around 2.50 laks and they said it would take at least 3 months...

i might not be able to go there.....but i have a cousin there who might help me out....i was thinking abt getting a ready-made from a designer...and just ask them to alter it a bit...the lady i got the Nikkah dress from...doesnt do ready made...and since i might not go to lahore....i dont want to burden my cousin with the responsibility of having a dress made from scratch..ill just mail the pics of the dress i liked from HSY's website...and ask her to go check the dress out....i am not sure how things work over there..

You can also get very decent ready-made stuff in the bazaars, for only a fraction of hte cost. Show her hte picture, and she could probably find something very similar...

yeah...i am going to call her.....ask her abt my options..but i had no idea...they d charge 2.25 for a not too heavy bridal outfit..thats just insane....worst comes to worst...i ll save up some money...and jump in.. haha...

my Bhabi’s outfit was from there and it took about 2 months for it to arrive I think. This is where they got it from.Be careful of the hidden charges that they charge like some processing fees and then shipping charges on top of everything not included.

i got quoted $6000 for one of HSY's bridal ghararas... sorry but no designer, no matter how fab, is getting six grand of my hard-earned money that i could use for a honeymoon instead! :P
i'd say go to Karma instead... i think their work is nicer and their prices might be more reasonable.

yes its relaly around 6k american maybe 5k if ur lucky. i spent about 4 k for my dress from nomi ansari and another 3k for my valima dress from him. HSY is more expensive than he is. also, if you go to clifton the shop called "the designers" they have readymade HSY and karma stuff in the 250 lak range.

hsy i dont know if they start at 500rupees they start around 250 and can go as high as 500-600

Well that 5,000 rupee wala lengha wouldnt be worth anything either... Anywhere from 20-150,000 can get you a decent lengha from the bazaar. Just depends on where you go, bargaining skills and the means...
Personally I don't believe these designers are worth their cost, but to each their own......

u cant get a really nice outfit made from pakistan for 5,000 rupees anymore!
if u really did want a 500,000 rs dress made from a darzi it might not cost u as MUCH as a designer (obviously) but it wont b cheap either.

i am not going to pakistan...and i have to do everything...from here (texas)
so in other words.....a ready made is a better option for me...since i cant go to the darzi everyday to check on how it is being done....
The lady i got my Nikah dress made from....she texted me saying she has many clients who mail her the material and a photo of stuff they want made...and she mails them the end-product....i mean i trust her and everything....but i dont know....i like her work...so should i just mail the HSY dress photo with the material...and pray that i comes out great.....has anyone heard of Sophia Muneeb in Lahore....? i like her...i dont know if you guys have heard of her... :)
