how would you wear this dress?

it’s pretty simple but since it’s sleeveless, i feel really uncomfortable showing my arms and shoulders, it’s just a personal thing and i tend to go the conservative route when it comes to clothes. i googled a couple shawls but this is a chiffon dress and it didn’t come with a shawl

How about a shrug? But it'd bring the hotness of the dress a couple of notches down.

hey contrarian thanks for replying, i already have a black coverup/shawl but it’s cotton and i wear it with all my sleeveless tops but this is a formal chiffon dress and i’ve been wanting to wear it for the longest time…the cotton black shawl does not go with it in the least and like you said it would take away a lot from the dress.

i was just wondering what you all do with this type of formal-ish dress and :pthis dress ain’t hot

i had never heard of a shrug before, thanks, this just might be what i was looking for, possibly made of chiffon i just figured it was called a shawl…you’re awesome contrarian

denim jackets are coming back so a cropped denim jacket would look ok i think!

it’s going to be a major shopping weekend and my only goal is to find a nice jacket or shawl to go with this dress so i can wear it finally!

so would a denim jacket go with a chiffon dress like this? i would love to make it more of a casual look so i can wear it with friends…

i want to find something similar at the mall with long sleeves, i can’t do short sleeves, it’s just me
