We are getting 77 Block 50/52 F-16s (better then MLU), and MLU's on the older 32 which we have right now.
BVR missiles ARE coming! Ofcourse its serious. AIM-9P and Chinese PL-6, PL-8, and PL-9 can all be integrated onto the Jf-17, and PL-11 maybe.
The weapons for the Jf-17 have not yet been finalised, I think, though SD-10 on the Jf-17 has been confirmed. Jf-17 has just recently integrated the DSI air-inlets (found on F-22), and is in the testing phases. Prototype 04 is being tested, and 05 will be tested and completed in 6-12months, as predicted. Mass production is planned to start in mid 2007.
Pakistan is looking more closely at Gripen, than at Rafales. There is no official confirmation of PAF trying to acquire either of the platforms, but PAF is evaluating both aircrafts. But the AWACS from Sweden has been confirmed :)

USD 5-10 Billion is required for reconstruction of the earthquake area/victims- so whats the use of talking about AIM-9P, PL-6, PL-8, and PL-9,Jf-17, PL-11 SD-10 on the Jf-17, DSI air-inlets (found on F-22), Prototype 04 !!!!!!!!????
What will Pakistan do, ask the world to pay for the reconstruction and its own money it wants to spend on Weapons.? The world will laugh at you!!

I think its not just our duty tomake peace with india. There are millions sleeping on road side in India too and everyday we hear of some new effort on part of India to acquire more weapons.

India is already offering its hand in friendship & peace-the USD 25 million relief fund, the plane & train donations, opening up of the LOC, offering army Helicoptors, opening up the no fly zone. There is a lot of sympathy in India & in expat Indians.
If you all continue to talk of weaponery-Indians & the world, will feel that Pakistan wants money from overseas for the earthquake victims-and wants to use it's money on war/weapons.
Too many people have died/dying-lets give peace a chance.

The Indians are the only one laughing at this time of tragedy. Majority of the world is helping Pakistan out (without laughing), and then we have Indians on the otherside who have grown incredibly jealous. The very idea of Pakistan, Pakistan prospering, and anyone helping Pakistan hurts you. I can tell from the tone of most of the Indians, including yourself, here.

Death of innocent humans is sad, it humbles us all, Hindu, Muslim, Sikh , Christian, Jew, Budhist.
Indian's are fully sympathetic to their human brothern.
All I'm trying to say that talking of using billions of Dollars for weapons/war is inappropriate at this time.

Yes, u r right. If India didn't have a defence budget of $12billion+ maybe Pakistan would decrease its defence budget of $3billion.
These decisions will affect Pakistan in the long-run. People who have no knowledge of defence are usually the ones who say things such as "stop spending money on military, and spend on people". These weapons are what will protect 160million+ Pakistanis, from the arms race which India has started. I don't want to see the lives of 160million Pakistanis threatened, just to save a few dozen thousand. It just doesn't equal out. What you're saying is: Save 50,000 thousand today, and lose 3million tomorrow.
