How to boil an egg (and other egg based recipes)

Re: How to boil an egg (and other egg based recipes)

Maybe because of your vegetarian habits, you are not getting enough Vitamin D and your eyesight is weak to recognize real beauty :hmmm:

Carrots are good for u're eyes.. better than eggs! I know real beauty! Say NO to eggs, fish, chicken and red meat!

Re: How to boil an egg (and other egg based recipes)

Gina, nothing against him, but your logic implies that Rajni Kaant is a more beautiful person than Asif Raza Meer ..

why did I come up with these two names, please dont ask :smack:

Re: How to boil an egg (and other egg based recipes)

I make it khageena style and love it because I add everything to it. I use

3 whipped egg whites with salt and crushed red pepper
mushrooms - sliced
bell peppers - chopped
onions - chopped
tomatoes - chopped
baby spinach leaves - whole
cheddar cheese - shredded

Fry your onions until they're almost see through, add tomatoes, mushrooms and bell peppers and fry until everything is golden brown. Add spinach and fry a little more...when the spinach starts to look a little wet...add egg whites and fry until golden brown.

Top with cheddar cheese and serve!

boiled omelette

ingredients...

1-all the ingredientsyou will normally use in an omelette.
2- a funnel
3- foil
4-

make a small hole in the egg shell drain the eg out, mix it with onions, mushroms whatever u want in the omelette, use the funnel to pur it back in the egg. wrap the egg in foil.

put the egg in a pan with some water, boil at low heat, make sure that the side of the egg wherte u drained the contents out is facing up at all times.

let the foil cool, break shell and enjoy a boiled omelette.

That sounds good, ill definitely try it soon...

What is khageena style?...this sounds good though.

husband loves hte omelets i make...he's taught me to make the egg-salan... i..e, fry the onions , make the normal masala, and just beat the eggs in it...
i also love egg salad, just boil eggs, mash em , add mayo/vinegar/black pepper, whatever, and yum!

egg sandwiches!!!! boiled eggs cut into small cubes mixed with mayo, a bit of thousand island dressing, salt, black pepper- sooo good! add boiled chicken to it as well.

how do you make this cubed boiled eggs with different veggies? do you eat it with toast?

Re: How to boil an egg (and other egg based recipes)

I either like my eggs boiled or eggs over medium.

TLK can you or niki tell me a little bit more about that eggs your BIL made…whats that all about? :konfused:

This sounds yummy!! and since I only eat boiled eggs will definitely try it this weekend, thank you for sharing.

Niki can tell you more how he made it. But although I mentioned that, I did not say the I liked it :hehe:

Re: How to boil an egg (and other egg based recipes)

AE, he made khagina type eggs bhurji with guR (jaggery)...and that was the part we didn't really like because it made it sweet. But in addition to onions and tomatoes and green chillies, you add ginger and garlic paste also. It would have tasted yummy if it weren't for the sweetness.

Re: How to boil an egg (and other egg based recipes)

^ Jaggery… isn’t that commonplace in Gujarati cooking…?? :hmmm:

X2 bhai - Your recipe sounds like the outcome of when you were home alone and felt like experimenting… :hehe:

Gina - You’re a VEGETARIAN??? hayeeo rabbaaa…:hayaa:

I usually have my eggs poached, then i have them with any type of bread, usually bagels with oven roasted tomatoes, balsamic vinegar and rocket (aka arugula if your name is X2 :p)

Or a frittata with lots of seasonal vegetables..

Or an omelette… florentina pizza style with goats cheese and spinach, or thai chicken omelette, or spanish omelette…or your bog standard veggie omelette…

Or i make Zabaglione with seasonal fruit… minus the alcohol…

Or incorporate fried eggs in the full English fry up… minus the bacon and black pudding…

But there is something so satisfying of eating just a straight soft boiled egg, with pieces of good granary toast… simple yet fulfilling :yummy:

Ofcourse! NO doubt about it.. Rajni’s hair.. complexion..

:rotfl:

hey asif raza meer is handsome.. from his tanhaiyan days.. rajnikant on the other hand.. behh..

aaj pataa chal gayaa .. of your taste in men ..

jab har waqt aaloo gobhi khao gi to yehi hogaa …

:nahi:

Re: How to boil an egg (and other egg based recipes)

Ever tried shami kabab and mirch and zeeray wala egg omelet together with paratha or chapati ?
Yum yum.

make some shami kababs and the omelet and garnish each shami kababs with a piece of omelet.

The secret to enjoy is to have both of them in each niwala/morsel .

If you never tried it , then try it and let me know how do you like it.

Re: How to boil an egg (and other egg based recipes)

I have tried that combo Mirch and I must admit, its a killer Sunday brunch menu
