Eggs in masala (salaan type)
Scrambled eggs with onions, green peppers and red chilli flakes.
My parents used to make us egg sandwiches too…ours were plain egg omelets with salt n pepper and on a toasted slice of bread apricot jelly…sometimes even orange marmalade.
I know it may sound corny but I loved those sandwiches growing up and still do!
Re: How to boil an egg (and other egg based recipes)
in sunday mornings we would have parahtay with sunny side up fried eggs, yogurt with sugar mixed & some curry or bhoojia with warm milk or chai. I used to take a piece of the white part of egg and dip it in the sweetened yogurt. I USED to love that back then, but find it gross now.
I'm not a fan of scrambled or sunny-side-up eggs. The runny yolk grosses me out. But I do like an omelet and I'm picky about how it should be made. I like my omelet to include finely chopped onions, green chillies, coriander, tomatoes, and thinly sliced fried potatoes (my favorite part). It looks similar to a khagina but not as scrambled.
Other than in the form of omelet.....I also enjoy boiled egg in curry, and diced eggs in salad.
