Re: "How much is this?"

Thanks for telling us that you are a liar from Shawwaal to Shabaabn. I will make a note of that.

Re: "How much is this?"

My answer would be:

About the same as the mortgage...:)

Who cares?

You're wearing it and you look cute in it, that's all that matters

Re: “How much is this?”

I go through a lot. I lie say everything is $10. :hehe:

Re: "How much is this?"

makes sense.

Re: "How much is this?"

Re: “How much is this?”

Who needs TV dramas :khumar:

Re: "How much is this?"

Considering you know that they are like this... why wear a new and expensive (to them) suit when visiting them?

Re: "How much is this?"

totally agree!! live your life drama free! treat them as your own parents let them say what they wish. Paradise lies at the feet of the parents. besides its ramadhan! :)

Re: "How much is this?"

She's had a clear out of old clothes ... And I totally like that about the misses ... Is that she don't hoard old things.

Re: "How much is this?"

Well your parents obviously don't like that. Instead of telling us that you like that about her...perhaps tell them that rather than leaving her to justify why she has new stuff.

Re: “How much is this?”

This reminds me of the first time my husband and I went shopping together..we had just gotten back from our honeymoon, and went to go buy some stuff for our apartment…towels, bathroom mats, linens etc…my MIL was spending a few days with us…when we got back from our shopping trip my husband said to her in a joking manner “dheko..aapki bahu ne kitna kharcha karwaadiya…aisay tho may kangla hojaonga”…when he left the room, my MIL gave me a very severe lecture about frivolous spending. Omg, I was so mortified and scared :sid:

It took me a couple of years and many such instances later to finally understand exactly what Psyah Bhaiya just said…she had lived a very prudent and financially strict life. The concept of pocket money or disposable income was very foreign to her, and so I learned to just let the comments and questioning looks pass.

Re: “How much is this?”

^ How come you did not start a thread on this :cb:

Re: “How much is this?”

Issi cheez ki kammi rehgayee thi…lol…become another life1 casualty, no thanks! :rotfl:

Re: "How much is this?"

tell them the price in a different currency but dont tell them the currency
how much was it.
One hundred...

now if someone insists, one hundred what, then say one hundred gold dinaar.
and laugh it off.

you did not lie and all is well.
