true would be since there are some Indians in my family. Though I’m Pakistani because my dad is. That some random rule. Personally does notbotherme. I get made fun of that I’m darker than other desi guys Indians Sri lankans and Pakistanis. The guy on there is fairer than me.

thanks for sharing..I sorry to hear about your cousin. I can relate. My parents have same thoughts ur bil’s parents. I feel sometimes they aRe taking anger on my job choices on my skin colour. I’m not how they wanted me to turn out.
Re: How important is skin colour for Pakistani girls? Would dark skin be undesirable?
True the right person won’t get affected by it. I agree stigma is greater for girls. I would personally love to find a Pakistani girl of same rang as me . Confidence is main thing and I find it only is less when I’m interacting around the few Pakistanis who I know might judgement. Why should we assume a person is good looking just by their skin colour?
with other sim quite confident.
Its about compensating in other departments. I’m working onmy job, my looks and otherwise I’m quite open minded about things. My height is like the khans and girls like him. I dress well , wear good clothes and I’m open minded about household responsibilities
Re: How important is skin colour for Pakistani girls? Would dark skin be undesirable?
I don’t blame you. Most here say they appreciate dark skin looks but given the choice They would choose a gora guy. Meaning of fair complexion. Even if a Pakistani girl chose a white guy or yellow green I don’t think it’s a problem as long as he respects her and treats her well. I’m not insecure in that way.
Im an abnormality I guess being a kala pakistani guy. Maybe they mixed me up in the hospital.
Re: How important is skin colour for Pakistani girls? Would dark skin be undesirable?
My story is slightly different.
Myself and siblings are quite fair cept for one brother who is darker than us all. Not to be biased but he fits the tall, dark and dead handsome category.
He was not interested in marrying a fair lass, rather found those who were darker complexed to be very attractive, which is what he did.
My SIL/Bhabhi is darker than us all, but she is very attractive, with a stunning smile and a beautiful disposition. The problem seems that she considers herself quite inferior to her in laws , which is quite ridiculous as no-one from our family has ever teased/taunted her. Other folks including her own family and friends tease her quite often as her own siblings are very, very fair.
Now that my brother and his wife have had a baby, my SIL has gone into a serious depression as my nephew is quite dark, in fact darker than his own parents. Mind you, she is very educated, etc etc, but the color thing has gotten to her. My brother simply does not care about color etc, and the baby is loved by each and every member of the family. A relative did say something about the babies coloring to which my Mum put them straight.

Thanks for sharing such a happy story. I’m glad ur mum stood up for your nephew. It makes a big difference. My parents did not do as much and I never felt less attractive compared to non desis as dark is cool but with desis I’ve internalised this complex. I completely agree with your brother and Im of similar belief in liking darkergrls. I’m glad your sister In law had supportive family.
