I work, I cook, I clean and do household chores. I dont look like a slob.
He comes home later than I do and sometimes is tired. I get that but everyday cannot be the same way...

Have you spoken to him about it? I don't mean nagged, or argued, or whined. I mean conversed, like an adult, in a calm friendly manner, about what your expectations are? About what his expectations are? About how you can both compromise to create the kind of relationship that will enrich you both?

Cooking, cleaning, keeping yourself clean is not romantic.
On a random weekday night, picking up food from his favorite take-out, watching a movie you both would like, and then doing it, is romantic.

I wasn’t thinking of the King of the jungle aka the lion when I referred to animal-kind. I was thinking more grizzly bear or hyena like - I’m seeing more similarities with these other animals
