Re: how do people afford these lenghas etc?
I cant say the material i’m using is the best but it is pretty good quality, i got exactly what the karigar told me to get so that the shirt doesn’t sag due to the kaam’s weight. The person i’m making it for had a very tight budget, so there’s heavy embroidery only on one side of the dupatta and none on the gharara/ dhaka pajama.
Also, i’ve known the karigar for a few years so he’s only charging me Rs23,000 for the work, i think thats pretty decent. i know he’ll do a good job, inshaAllah.
Just our curiosity, what sort of material costs Rs 20-25K extra? where do you get it from?
ps: i ain’t no professional… just had a lot of experience with karigars from my own wedding, then my sisters, and now for some relatives.
