how do people afford these lenghas etc?

Re: how do people afford these lenghas etc?

I cant say the material i'm using is the best but it is pretty good quality, i got exactly what the karigar told me to get so that the shirt doesn't sag due to the kaam's weight. The person i'm making it for had a very tight budget, so there's heavy embroidery only on one side of the dupatta and none on the gharara/ dhaka pajama.

Also, i've known the karigar for a few years so he's only charging me Rs23,000 for the work, i think thats pretty decent. i know he'll do a good job, inshaAllah.

Just our curiosity, what sort of material costs Rs 20-25K extra? where do you get it from?

ps: i ain't no professional... just had a lot of experience with karigars from my own wedding, then my sisters, and now for some relatives.

That additional cost is a mix of fabric price, material and labor cost I assume. I am paying higher to the karigars as well. If i could get good karigars for the price you have mentioned, I'll be dancing :)

the inlaws pay for the shaddi and walima outfit and we pay for his... makes things easier and at the same time sux if i dont get to choose it!

I am looking for something similar to what you have posted, I am abroad at the moment and am certainly not keen on spending more than 80K for my bridals. Can you PM me the Karigar details etc ?. Would be forever grateful to u!
