Well, I answered the question based on Pakistanis fornicating in general i.e. with non-Pakistani partners too and not just amongst/between Pakistanis alone.
But if I was to answer from the latter perspective, I'd give a much lower rating (equal, of course).

The same could be said for the guys too, nahin? Yes, socially, women receive more severe treatment for it than the men. I haven't read through the thread in its entirety, but have you seen the guys on here actively reporting their fornications or emitting indisputable whiffs of it? Are the guys who are meme'ing the issue or making sport of it fornicators or are they just trying to sound cool/funny? And even if the guys and girls say they've remained chaste, there will be people who are convinced they're lying.

I'm not one to judge 'fornication'. I dont even agree with the word. Why you sound defensive?
I have seen a lot of instances of women on this forum trying to sound "chaste" You gotta agree that girls are way more "chhuppi rustum" when it comes to sexual experiences, than guys. I find it hard to believe that the significant majority of women these days go through without making out or hooking up atleast once even if they ended up considering it an indiscretion.
Hint: think of girls who lament players, "douchebags", and "jerks"

When I said that society is harsher on women for fornication, that implies that they are more likely to act "chupi rustam" about it. But given our culture, I doubt that many men would openly fess up to it either. Maybe some among the Guppans you feel are "trying" to sound chaste truly are chaste? You cannot be certain from the posts. Maybe the guy who is condemning fornication using Islamic references had committed fornication and then reformed his ways. Maybe the ones making jest of it doesn't have the experience.

I really do not not know about Pakistan, but amongst Pakistanis abroad in North America (especially the ones born here, both guys and girls) its quite higher than what I would have imagined. The girls made sure that their parents did not know they even had boyfriends and the guys quite simply most of them did not care (their parents weren't as concerned about them as they were for their daughters). Some new parents who witnessed all this went back to Pakistan saying 'we have girls, we would much rather have them grow up in Pakistan and then maybe when they are all grown up and married we shall return). I was working on a project with an African American not too long ago and he asked me where I was originally from and then when I answered he immediately told me about a Pakistani girl he dated in NY and how she wore the veil and snuck out of her house at night to his place and she told him she everything was alright as long as her parents do not find out especially considering the fact that he was black lol. Again, we should not be judgmental because these kids face have to face two conflicting cultures and have to try and fit into both. And I would not blame the parents because some of them put in a very decent effort to impose an 'Islamic' education to the best of their abilities and resources but still, it's bound to happen.

^Reminds of me conversation I recently had with a colleague. The guy is "fairly religious", i mean prays regularly, his family takes hijab. He moved from USA back from USA coz of cultural issues, took his children to Islamic lectures at weekends, in addition to regular schools. Now his kids both son and daughter, are studying in USA for graduate studies and we were discussing about the college issues, he said, he has tried his best to impart good moral values in them, but he knows the culture among students in universities and if it still happens, he won't blame his kids.

However if the sex workers are still able to maintain their weekly average of 5 clients every week, then there must be at least 3-4 million individual people using sex workers on a regular basis. That's about 15-20% of the population of Karachi.
Then if we throw in the number of people who aren't using sex workers but instead having sex outside of marriage with regular people such as boyfriend/girlfriend relationships, extra marital affairs and so on, then the conclusion we can draw from this is..... there's a lot of fornication going on in Karachi! **
